I'm giving this product a big thumbs up because it's a great value for the money, and it actually works and does what it claims. This is what I came up with: To keep my eyeglass leash from sliding off the glasses, I used a heavier heat shrink tubing. (I wear micro suiters, which are great and the only ones I've ever worn, but the retainer portion that keeps the glasses on my face doesn't work! This heat shrink tubing worked perfectly - This is why I got the 3: I used about 3/8" to get it over the end of the eyeglass arms, which is why I got the 3: 1 to make it tighten up and prevent it from slipping off again. There is also some built-in adhesive on these. SO FAR, THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL.
I used it for two different DIY projects, and both turned out great. This shrink tubing has an internal glue that eliminates the need for epoxy, saving me time and making me more efficient. No longer do I have to race against the clock to process all of my items before the epoxy hardens. Tubing with a good density and ease of use. I've used other brands where the tubing felt like thick paper and caught fire; this product is excellent, and I've thrown away or donated all of my old tubing to Goodwill.
Almost all of the tubes are the smallest and most commonly used.
These work fine, but most of them are way too small for the ones that do work. If you're going to solder the two wires together, then slide these over them, but if you're using wire connectors or butt connectors (same thing), most of them are way too small for the ones that do work.
After replacing the thermostat and temperature sensor in a fridge, I bought this adhesive shrink wrap to protect the solder joints from corrosion. So far, everything is running smoothly. During the many defrost cycles the fridge goes through, it appears to have created a good seal to keep moisture out of the joints. I now have a large number of extras to use in future projects.
This is a fantastic product; these are the real deal. I guess I didn't realize I was going to get two: 1 previously, but I was never able to find the right size. These 3: 1's shrink to fit perfectly, and they appear to be sealed with adhesive or something. Superb product, especially for the price, superb product, superb product, superb product, superb product, superb product, superb product, superb product.
I used it to repair my phone charger cordbr>Shrunk and held tighter than regular heat shrink 2: 1br>Use a heat gun instead of matches. br>Much better than cheap heat shrink.
Because these are used under the hood of my Jeep, I'm a little skeptical about their UV resistance and water proofing. hood, as well as any other electrical connections.
