This is a nice kit, but uncut lengths of the same material would have been preferable. I use a similar product that comes rolled in a plastic bag in a much larger size- This is a far superior concept. There are times when you require more- Occasionally, less is sufficient. It's nice to be able to cut off only the amount of material you require from a roll. While the case is attractive, it is overkill for my purposes and takes up significantly more space than a plastic bag. However, because these are pre-made, they must be used with caution. The case is required to keep the pieces organized after they have been cut. That being said, this is a great glue shrink, and you'll need a heat gun to set it.
When used in marine applications, I like how these shrink tubing sections have adhesive lined connector crimps to keep moisture and corrosion out of the wire ends. When I was working on rewiring areas that required different sizes, the box of assorted sizes came in handy.
Over the years, I've purchased a large number of shrink tube sets. Most of them will have a slew of small ones that you'll never use. This is a good size for everyday use. I'm going to order another set once I finish this review because the adhesive lining is so good.
It's difficult to come across a kit that includes both large and small sizes. It would be nice if there were a few sizes 22, 18, and 16 available. But it was still useful because there were plenty more pieces for future jobs.
Love it. It's simple to use and does exactly what it claims to.
These were ideal for my needs - Many of the sizes have been used in various wiring projects that I've done in the past, but It's great to be able to shrink to fit.
For car stereo installation and electrical repairs, we have a large selection of heat shrink tubing. Thick, sturdy, and a wide range of sizes are available. The 3: I've found that shrink tubing with a 1 ratio and a glue-lined interior provides far better protection than other shrink tubing I've used. For the price, it's impossible to beat.
