2 x 4' pieces
Yes, it should shrink from 3/4 to 3/8 of its original size.
Because it has a glue center, it is difficult to remove when it shrinks, but small sections can be cut off.
Yes, but your fingers will be burned. This is far more durable than the small shrink wrap tubes found in most stores. It shrinks to a diameter of about half an inch, with a wall thickness of about 1/8 inch. br>I shrank it with a heat gun. The same is something I recommend.

It's the 3/4" size that you're looking for. When it arrived, I almost immediately requested a return because it appears to be far too large. I figured I'd start with a test piece, which shrank dramatically and now functions perfectly. Because it's a little thicker to begin with because there's more material, when it shrinks, it's a little thicker. This is beneficial because the wire at the terminal receives more support and protection.
The size is incorrectly labeled (purchased 1/2"; ordered 1/2"; ordered 1/2"; ordered 1/2"; ordered 1/2"; ordered 1/2"; ordered 1/2"; 5/8" was obtained). The shrink ratio has been exaggerated to the point of absurdity: 3: according to the description The genuine one is number two: br>br>I couldn't use it to insulate a speaker cable "banana" connector (8 mm), which was supposed to work if the description was correct; I wasted time buying it and then returning it to the USP store. That isn't even taking into account my inability to finish my project on time. br>br>Here are some specifics. br>br>A circumference of 50 mm is equal to a diameter of 16 mm (actual size). For the third shrinkage ratio: 1 The circumference after heating should be around 17mm; This corresponds to a value of 5. The diameter is 4 mm. br>Now, the banana connector was 8 mm in diameter, and the tubing was barely hugging it after shrinking (and, just to be sure, overheating it with a heat gun for a long time). The diameter of 8 mm corresponds to a circumference of 25 mm, giving us a dreadful 2: 1 ratio of shrinkage br>br>I'm curious how many of us would pass this product up if we knew what we know now.
The 1/2-inch version is ideal for connecting 4GA batteries to stereo amps or solar panels. To fully melt the glue inside and achieve a tight seal, you'll need a real heat gun (I use a Bosch 1942-1). It's probably overkill, but it shrinks the object quickly). This isn't a case of ultra-thin electronics. shrink tube of high quality This is a very durable product.
It was purchased to cover the worm clamps on my replacement hose ends, which were catching on things when reeling in the hose before I used it. It no longer snags as it glides through grass and around objects. Furthermore, it does not catch on my fingers, which used to irritate my skin. br>br>The adhesive property isn't visible until the product is heated. When heated, this material firms up around whatever you're covering, and a small amount of adhesive squeezes out the end. I'm pretty sure it's a waterproof seal, but I can't say for sure. br>br>I liked it so much that I ordered another order of this heat shrink after finishing the first. It comes highly recommended from me.
I believe this is the best heat shrink tubing I've ever purchased. On my BMW 3, I needed to repair the upper CCV pipe. 0L engine without having to disassemble the entire intake to get to the rest of it, and it was perfectly sealed! It was an added bonus that the glue was built in. This tubing comes highly recommended!.
That's all I have to say on the subject. This is what I use as an anti-corrosion agent when braiding stainless steel lines for hot rod projects. When making battery cables, use a chaffing sleeve and make sure the terminals are neatly sealed to the cable. This brand was a success! With a heat gun, I was able to shrink it perfectly while also activating the adhesive; I have no complaints and will be purchasing it again.
THE FIT IS PERFECT, AND THE SHRINK RATE IS 3:1. THE ADHESIVE IS A LITTLE FEWER THAN NECESSARY. I'VE ALSO USED OTHER HEATSHRINK WITH MORE ADHESIVE FOR A MORE WATERPROOF SEAL. DOESN'T FIT IN WELL WITH CONCAVE SURFACES. LIKES ROUND OR CONVEX SURFACES AND CONFORMS WELL TO THEM. HEAT SHRINK IN GENERAL IS VERY GOOD.
br>Didn't shrink easily and required so much heat that I'm concerned about the wire the wrap was supposed to protect. br>Also, once in place, the rigidity is such that I'll have to reheat and shape it. br>br>To be fair, the adhesion appears to deliver on its promises, but only time will tell. br>br>At the end of the season, I will provide an update.
