My iPadPro is the first generation (if that makes a difference), but I'm running the most recent version of the iPadOS. When I connect to the Modi 3, the Apple Music volume slider is disabled, so I use the receiver controls to adjust volume.
It should work, but I can't promise it. I've had no trouble using mine with a variety of systems. I'm currently using it with an old 2010 MacBook Pro running Hi Sierra, which I only use for music, and it's working perfectly.

Files with a high resolution. A well- built, designed, appealing, and cost-effective way to get full 24-hour coverage bit / 192 Hz audio from an iMac, iPhone, or iPad to a receiver and speakers, or to a pair of active computer monitors In fact, depending on where I am, I use it in both ways. It is light and easy to transport from one location to another. I only need to install speaker wire in both locations. You'll need a lightning to USB adapter if you're using an iPhone or iPad. Apple has one with a second lightning input, allowing me to charge my iPad while it is in use. Every time I listen to these files, I'm blown away and moved. As someone who has spent a significant amount of money on high-end audio equipment, I can attest to the fact After years of paying around $25 per album for high-resolution files, getting the same quality streaming from Apple for a monthly subscription (which I already had) is a fantastic deal. Also, according to Apple's audio page, an external DAC is the only way to get access to the top-tier audio quality. files of various levels.
If you turn the volume all the way down to zero, this device will shut down completely, requiring you to close the application that is producing the sound you're listening to and then reopen it. When using a mute button to directly cancel the volume, it does the same thing. br>In addition, the chip used in this device is somewhat low-cost. It employs Delta sigma modulation, which is a very low-cost technique. br>In addition, the description specifies that this item should include both an optical and a digital cable. Those were never a part of the package. In the end, I had to return it.
The sound is very clear and pleasant, with distinct highs and lows that do not detract from the midrange. I'm rediscovering some of my old favorites. Stop reading the reviews and go out and buy it right now. By the way, I used it in conjunction with Vali 2. br>br>There is a noticeable noise between songs, which is a minor drawback. I'll have to experiment with switching the optical to USB input.
At this price point, it's difficult to go wrong, but there are a few things to keep in mind. If you already have a system that struggles to produce highs, this has a warmer sound (more akin to Marantz receivers), so look for something else. Works great with my Klipsch speakers because the horn tweeters can be a little harsh at times, and this helps to mitigate that.
I needed a simple, inexpensive, but good-sounding DAC for a streaming device I was building, and I had read and seen positive reviews online praising this unit as a great sounding unit, especially for the price. I was not dissatisfied with my purchase, and it was a good fit for my needs. Please note that there is no volume control on the front panel, only a selector switch. Digital inputs for coax, toslink, and micro-USB are located on the back. USB. Only RCA unbalanced connections are used for outputs. Please keep in mind that this does not support MQA or DSD! Yes, a more expensive, better-sounding, and feature-rich DAC is available, but this one satisfied my needs.
I wanted to connect my iPhone to my vintage 1970s amplifier, but the headphone out on the iPhone isn't very good. This is amazing, and it sounds even better than vinyl.
This was my first Schiit product; I later ordered the volume control, and it's a fantastic product with excellent sound control, a reasonable price, and the fact that it's made in the United States. br>br>If you look at the YouTube reviews, you'll be surprised at how well this small DAC compares to others that cost much more. I'm going to place an order for my EQ as soon as possible. This is fantastic, Schiit! br>br>.
