Questions & Answers

Has anyone tried the Dragonfly Cobalt as well? It would be interesting to see how they compare. ?

In the end, they're aimed at different audiences. I'd say the cobalt is both newer (a good thing) and more expensive (a bad thing), and the form factor for the A is better. K is entirely devoted to his smartphone. I've only used the blue one, but the cobalt seems to be more precise. If you're willing to spend a lot of money on a DAC, get the dragonfly cobalt or a more substantial battery-powered DAC. br>br>If I had to do it all over again, I'd go with A. K is preferable to the cobalt in terms of "connecting to my phone and playing music." There aren't any extra connections or dongles to lose. Simply plug this in along with your headphones and you're ready to go. br>br>The A is a letter that begins with the letter A and ends with the letter B. K can be a little bass-heavy at times. The sound of cobalt vs. leaning You could be happy with either, but if you want the most sparkle out of your sound, spend the extra money on the cobalt and use it with your laptop, or get a different A-model. For your mobile device, you'll need a C dongle.

Is the iPhone 7 compatible?

Only if you can find a Lightning to USB C adapter that works. The USB C connector is used by the DAC. Lightning is the connector used by the iPhone.

Is the ak dual dac cable compatible with the new ipad pro m1?

Yes, it does, and it does so very well.

What is the range of frequencies?

The sound is extremely high-end, as I can attest. I'm a crazed audiophile with no regrets......

The sound quality is exceptional
5/5

I'm blown away by how much better this A is than the previous one. The K DAC sounds better than the various low-cost options that come bundled or in the aftermarket's lower tiers. I value sound, and I own several pairs of headphones, but I was disappointed by the sound quality of dongle after dongle. br>br>This product is a huge step forward in terms of quality compared to most USB-connected devices. C mini- DACs, and it does a good job of providing a good value for money alternative to shelling out hundreds of dollars for a standalone unit that is powered by a plug or a battery. br>br>Sound is clearer, bass and treble are both more expansive and natural, tonal accuracy is improved, and this solves the real issue I was having: the majority of dongle Even with super-high-resolution audio, type DACs are "flat" and fail to reproduce the quality of the audio. BA- with sensitivity based IEMs. br>br>The only piece of advice for prospective buyers is that this has real hardware and heft to transform the audio. It can also get warm if you listen for an hour or more, but these are minor drawbacks for such a small DAC that accomplishes so much for the most common audio source we use on a daily basis - music. our mobile phones.

One of the most innovative DAC dongles on the market today
5/5

So I went crazy like a kid buying candy in the hopes of finding a DAC dongle that would work with my old Dell computer. Hidizs S9 Pro, Hidizs S3 Pro, Luxury, Audioquest Black, Red, Blue Precision W2 and a few others that come to mind. Just as I was about to stuff them all into a bag and re-package them, I decided to give the AK DAC/Amp a try (I'm not sure how they fit an amp into such a small device), and VIOLA! There you have it. I simply used a USB flash drive. C to USB- The 3. was powered by an adapter that was plugged in. Using a 3. 0mm output (which is the only limitation), you can get a 5mm output. I plugged a 5mm to dual RCA cable into my amp's input and it sounded fantastic! After a lot of trial and error, I've decided that this is the DAC dongle I'm going to use in the end. The Hidizs S9 Pro, which also has an amp and comes with a 2. Although I will not be using the 5mm balanced output due to the number of headphones I own and my refusal to buy cables for them just to use that output, it does sound almost as good as the AK. Unless your computer's output is powerful enough to come close to the AK and S9 amp features, I'm not sure why people are so obsessed with Audioquest DACs. One disadvantage is that if you use an amp dongle in this manner, it will drain your phone. I won't be using it with anything other than my laptop, so that isn't an issue for me. br>When I do go out with my phone, I have a HELM THX portable amp that runs on three AA batteries. It has a 3. 5mm input and output, and you can use it to answer calls. It's a great portable amplifier for a phone with a 3. Like my old iPhone, it has a 5mm headphone jack. br>The AK is a fantastic piece of technology from a company that is well-known for producing high-quality audio gear. It comes highly recommended from me!.

The sound is wonderful
5/5

This was purchased to allow me to use my HarmonicDyne Zeus headphones with my phones and tablets, which all have USB ports. C connectors are a type of connector. In comparison to a simple USB-connected device, it works flawlessly. C to 3. 5mm DAC and a USB-C connector for a lower price This is pure bliss, C DAC. Rich and full sound in a simple plug-in, with more than enough power to bring my headphones to life. I've only tried it on Android devices so far; today, I'll give it a try on my iPad Pro, but I don't expect any problems. Excellent value for the money!.

DAC is excellent
5/5

I hooked up a pair of Grado RS1e headphones, which are already excellent. It makes a lovely noise. The sound is clear and rich, and it adds a new dimension to the music. This book comes highly recommended. To NOTE: Before using the DAC, make sure to check the volume of the DAC after connecting it to your computer. The volume will be 100% the first time you plug it in, and you might blow your eardrums- Before you start listening to music, turn the volume down to 10 and gradually increase it.

In terms of phone audio, this is a game changer
5/5

This is the PERFECT addition for anyone who already owns a great pair of wired headphones but wants to stream music from their phone. This DAC significantly improves your phone's audio capabilities and brings your music library to life. The sound is much richer and fuller, with much better clarity and soundstage. This is something I can't recommend highly enough to anyone who enjoys music.

The sound is great, but the hassle of carrying a dongle isn't worth it
4/5

Great sound, but it depletes my phone's battery quickly, and it only works with one app. When listening on an Android, it does not work on YouTube or other apps. br>br> For audio, I own a LG V series. This is superior, but it is not worth the additional cost or hassle of carrying a loseable dongle.
