You can use this capacitor as a substitute for part number 27L20. When it comes time to replace these, finding an exact like-for-like replacement is half the battle if the part you are trying to replace is not available. The next step is to match all the specs, and once that is done, you will be fine. I could have found the OE replacement here for three times the price here, but I replaced them on my other unit twice and they are really easy to install. Usually there is a box nearby that you can open and unplug the connector from the unit after turning the power off. you have done this, open the area of the electrical compartment that is usually indicated with stickers or wires. If you look at the capacitor, see if it is swollen or if it is rounded. The wire coming off of it may also be shorted out. With these, the initial issue is that the fan doesn't spin. There will be several times of an electrical surge while the fan will Replace the old order with the new one or take a picture with your phone. You can fix the short by using a new terminal and wire, and then replacing the fuse to test the circuit.
My unit is fixed and back up and running in no time. I have a picture if you'd like to see it. I only took pictures prior to the installation. It has no instructions, just disconnect the wires one at a time and make sure you remove the power from the unit before you begin working on it and handling the old capacitor may discharge the load, so cross the terminals with the screw driver before touching the terminals together.
It works well. Quite simply, the outdoor compressor fan was not spinning (though the compressor was running), and it looked as if a bad capacitor had caused the problem. As a confirmation, I gave the fan a shove with a screwdriver and it immediately started. It took me about 3 minutes to install and I'm good to go. I would have been probably charged $100 for a service call by an AC technician. Since I was replacing a 370uf capacitor, I opted to use a 440uf instead. This means that it should last longer since its higher capacity. The length of time it lasts will be evident in the future.
As a reminder, with all capacitor swaps you need to The old capacitor and the new capacitor should not be shorted when you are practicing basic electrical safety. You are better off paying someone else to make this correction if you do not understand why shorting a capacitor of this size would be a bad move. (I paid for this last time In order to learn this skill for myself, I watched the tech As a result of this swap, I have spent $100+ He took 10 minutes to install)
But if you understand basic wiring safety, you can see colors, and you can reconnect the wires in the same location as the old capacitor, then you can save $90 by doing the swap yourself).
I live in a place where capacitors cannot be purchased by anyone unless he or she is This is one thing that the service industry doesn't want you to know is how easy the process is. 'Easy' is an accurate description of what I mean. Several hundred dollars can be saved this way. To replace this thing, you need to spend 5 minutes. It's a good thing Amazon exists. Unfortunately, we cannot help you with this.
As a result of watching a few video clips on YouTube, I narrowed my issue down to this one. Since the repair was going to cost me just a little bit, I thought it was worth a shot.
item is no brainer, but when I tucked all the wires back in and ran it while it was running, I accidentally touched the top of the unit. Suddenly, I felt like I was being zapped by a holy hell. That makes no sense, so don't do it.
Even though I have no experience with A/C, I was able to install it The only videos I watch are those on YouTube. The procedure was very easy, and I was able to get nice consistent air conditioning again (without having to give the outside unit a 'manual boost') while saving money because it was super inexpensive and.
