Questions & Answers

Would this capacitor be able to replace a ge 97f9849? As well as being slightly taller, this capacitor has a shorter diameter. Are there any implications to that?

As far as the electrical specs go, they are correct. If the width of the mounting bracket will fit and if the height is sufficient, you can see if the mount will be able to support Most of the time it is fine. If the capacitor barely fits, it is unlikely to work.

The model AC10B36 of the ducane 3 ton machine may be compatible with this one Would you like to be a ?

They may make a 3 ton and a 4 ton model. Read the description carefully and it will be listed there. The 4 tons that I purchased were a good deal.

What should I do to convert this to ?

It's completely compatible with that!

Is this a compatible inverter for a Whirlpool WC142A Can I have a single air conditioner? What do I need if it is not the one I have?

You can do it as long as you match the numbers. You must ensure that the capacitor you are replacing is a 40uf and a 5uf dual capacitor rated at 370 or 440 volts in order to work. This part fits the bill. There will be differences in the numbers, such as 35uf and 5uf on the item that needs to be replaced. The replacement part will be based on

I was able to complete my task! I was able to service my own AC unit myself! During the week of the Fourth of July, my air conditioner went out
5/5

While the temperature was 94 degrees, our air conditioner failed to work for 3 days. There were no HVAC firms availabile until after the holiday, but I scheduled two appointments anyway in case there would be I was a woman, so I didn't want to get ripped off, so I started researching why my unit might not be cooling, watching a lot of YouTube videos and learning that it may have been As I was getting desperate, I thought it might be worth it to try. When I got home from work, it was dark outside when I noticed my package had During the day, the house was so hot that I thought I would I installed the capacitor in the dark with a flashlight, following all the safety precautions by turning off the power both inside and outside my house, and discharging both the old and new capacitors with insulated screwdrivers. I fixed my problem in 10 minutes, which was the best part. So thank you very much for canceling my HVAC appointments, saving me a minimum of $89 in service fees. I took some time to thoroughly clean my ac unit before the new part arrived, just like an HVAC technician Spray the outside of the unit with Dawn dish soap diluted with water, 1 part Dawn to every 10 parts water, let it sit for 7 minutes, and then give the unit a thorough rinse until clean. Keep the unit free of leaves and grass by cleaning it. My house is now cleaner after I replaced the air filter and vacuumed the return air vent system. As soon as I replaced the old capacitor, my AC blew a lot colder air than before. Unlike my old capacitor, which was only 370 volt, current fluctuation can be handled with this capacitor because it has 370 volts and 440 volts.

The product is easy to install and is great
5/5

As you can see from the pictures, I liked how the markings on my old capacitor were the same as on this product, making installation easy. Using this product, I was able to replace it myself by simply pulling the wires off the old one and replacing them on the new one, one wire at a time. This product saved me at least $150 by simplifying the process. Remember to turn off the power to the AC unit before opening the AC unit panel in order to replace The first step was to short out the tabs on the old capacitor with a screwdriver. It is often better to be safe than sorry when using capacitors because they can hold a charge for a long time. Pull the old capacitor out gently by removing the one screw/bolt holding it in place. You can see the markings on the capacitor after you have taken it out. Pull the wires from the old clip/tab to the new one with pliers and then swap over to the new clip. The wire may break if you pull on the wire directly from the clip, so do not push the cinch on the wire itself. You should reverse your steps from removing the old one in order to mount the new Easy as pie! BTW, the AC unit symptom I experienced was that the fan would not always start up and that it could be slow to turn on.

My search for the perfect solution ended here
5/5

My only requirement was the 40 mfd side, however the size, price, and so on suited my needs. The compressor I use is used for my air conditioning system. I recommend installing a hard start capacitor if you have problems with a compressor not running or locked up and replacing the capacitor does not fix the problem or if you just want to improve the life of a good unit. A technician said I would need to replace my unit with a 410A unit after my unit locked up. My voltage and cap were fine, so I think it might be the capacitor. Now that it's two years old and still running, it's running fine with a hard start cap. Naturally I replaced this cap 2 years later, but I intend to keep my R22 running for another 2 or more years, and will install my hard start on my replacement unit when I do.

A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book
5/5

GREAT PRODUCT! IT WAS SOOO EASY TO INSTAL LATELY AND MY HEAT PUMP HAS STOP DEFROSTING WITH ICE HANGING OFF OF IT AND IT IS NO LONGER DEFROSTING. Suddenly, the fan ceased to operate. JUST PLUGGEED IN A NEW CAPACITY A YEAR AGO, BUT THIS TIME, HE SAID I am not going to do it again. FIND OUT IF YOU WANT TO BE ONE OF US MY TEARS ERUPTED WHEN I SAW $10 and realized that I had a warranty for parts but I couldn't order without a license. I ordered a 00 cap on Amazon and paid for it instantly. It took me twenty-five minutes to pay for it. WOW IT WORKED SOOO well THANKS SO MUCH TO YOU GUYS FOR THE PART and THANKS TO JESUS for helping me.

The AC unit was repaired and I was able to save My house was visited by a technician who examined our upstairs air conditioner
5/5

This is the first time he has not tested the Capacitor and has just thrown it a Super Booster. I gave it about a month to work before it caught on fire and burned off the top about half of it. As a result, I went out and switched off the power, discharged the old capacitor, and removed the old, As a result, I checked the OHMS on the herm to ground and determined that it was OL, and checked the fan to ground and found that it was This led me to believe it was a failed After I came into the house and ordered this one, the next afternoon it was delivered. We put it in and turned on the compressor right away. A man told me that I had a bad compressor, but on top of that he could give me a few more months with his super booster. A couple of days later, he told me he could get a good deal on a new unit and replace mine As a result, I was wondering why it would be a disaster in less than 6 years and I thought that he was on a downward spiral. It was a good thing I tested and bought one, otherwise I could have fallen for his lies!.

It's so nice
5/5

96 degree heat in Atlanta caused our air conditioner to break down. My son initially thought I would need to replace the entire unit, but the advice he gave me to start by looking for a bad capacitor convinced me otherwise. I ordered this unit after opening it and comparing its type to the one I needed. After it arrived, I was able to install it within five minutes and it works just fine. Having replaced the part ourselves, we now have a perfectly functioning AC system once again for less than the price a technician would have charged for doing so.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

In the summer of last year, the air conditioner stopped working. In this case, I called HVAC service who wanted $75 for the call and $300 for this part. I ordered online and bought a fan until the part About 10 minutes were needed to switch out the light. The project is still in progress. Using the switch will allow you to switch the wires from the old to the new with no problems. The problem is- If you don't know what you are doing, be careful if you don't know what you are doing with these. They can hold a charge so don't cross the posts unless you are trying to discharge them (even if there is no power cord).

It can be used to replace faulty GE 97F9838 5 + 40 It is very important to turn off the circuit breaker (in the house) and remove/pull the cords Disconnect the thermostat's connector (that is located at the exterior near the condenser unit), discharge the capacitor (use a screwdriver to short its 3 terminals), and turn off the appliance
5/5

Motor (s), Fan and Compressor, of the outside condenser unit will not start due to a bad original capacitor "GE 97F9838 5 + 40 uf" that has bubbles on its surface (not perfectly A replacement of the “MAXRUN 40+5 MFD" is simple and easy to do. The new one has the same diameter as the old one, the GE's, which is 2 inches. It's nice to see it going.
