Product Description

It cannot engrave with its beams because they are too wide

To replace the laser head position indicator (no idea what it is called, but it is a pointer that shows where the laser engraver head is focused) for my laser engraver that I had been using for several years. There are no major problems with this item, and the construction is decent. My factory mount didn't fit, but it was fixed with a quick run over to the drill press. Basically, I have a problem with the "cross line" lines because they are way too wide to use as a laser engraver position indication line. There are three lines at the cross point of the focal distance for my machine, which results in a laser head positioning indicator covering an area of 9mm2 (9 square mm). This doesn't sound bad, but when you have less than 1mm in tolerance for a job, being able to locate exactly the center of an area 9mm2 becomes difficult. I can see how this might be a great fit This may work, but only if you do not have an existing laser engraver to install it into.

As I was about to give up, I removed the caulking and pulled the wires on the laser module to try to remove it from the tube housing for inspection. It was a surprise to me that the laser module moved further away from the lens and made the line thickness thin by about The fear of tearing off the wires made me not want to pull further. These tools will be added to a CNC machine to help find materials' edges. They should have designed the laser to be adjustable, so that the line thickness could be adjusted. A feature like this would have been worth extra money to me. This laser would be so good if it wasn't so.

There is no blurring, but if you get too close, the lines become very blurry

When it is pointed at a surface that is closer than a couple of feet away, the lines are blurry. In order to make my CNC router work with it, I wanted to use it as a reference reference. However, the lines are blurry and close together. A 6" distance from the thinnest part would be about 80" thick. Still, I regret not buying it sooner, but I do plan to use it for something. If the focus is off, I might try to correct it with a lens that focuses on the subject.

The purpose of this purchase was to use it for setting the X and Y zero points on my CNC. Installs in no time at all. A battery pack of three AA batteries was used. I love the brightness of the room. It only takes a few seconds to zero the X and Y axises. This is definitely worth checking out.

It's better to buy the recommended battery pack from another provider instead of trying to direct wire. The pocket alignment thing is awesome, helps us line up t-shirt pockets during screen printing. One of the radiators was burned up in less than an hour with direct wiring. I bought a new battery pack and hooked it up. The results of the study are This is incredible!.

The voltage transformer was run with a variable dc power supply at 3 volts and it was pretty easy to connect. For the most part, 3V worked well. It would be nice to have another one, but money does not grow on trees.

There is an issue with the light diode being My intention was to use it as a spindle head for my CNC machine

But after getting it installed in a 3/8 collet I realized it wasn't going to work. There is no overlapping of the image on the body unit and the light bulb inside is not centered. I find that the light is not centered when I spin the motor spindle. In order to ensure that these units are of high quality, better quality control is needed.
