The lens rotates in conjunction with the focus ring, so the focus is only accurate to a 1/2 turn of the Thus, your entire body must be rotated when rotating the line, not just the focus ring, in order to keep the focus as tight as possible

As one of the two lasers fell apart in the packaging, I put it back together, but the lense is loose and rattles around, causing the line to move and preventing it from accomplishing my goal.

The way the product is made is poor

A fuzzy mess. It's all over. It does not have a power supply. This product is awful. DO NOT BUY it. Three out of six of the lenses worked, but only one came assembled, while the other three came assembled and do not work, plus none of the lenses were cleaned or mounted properly, and the threading is so bad that they fall apart immediately. The wiring on these dull, fuzzy "lasers" is the worst one could imagine, so getting power to them is a frusterating task. You should not buy this item.
