If it says 3 D cell, then it should be. This would NOT be a product I would buy. In conjunction with the purchase of 2 long owned MagLites, I bought 3 krypton bulbs to replace my old ones. There is a great deal of misinformation in these bulbs There are three problems with the flashing flashlight 1) Not bright at all 2) Will not focus a beam smaller than 10 feet across from 15 feet 3) The plug-in bulb fell into the lense while being carried. Company policy states that no refunds will be given for replacements. Defective products are on their way out and they're eager to get them out of the store. This product is VERY disappointing to me.

The way to change it was shown in a YouTube video. If I remember correctly, you unscrew the lid and the bulb stays attached to it. It was just a simple matter of removing it, replacing it, and screwing it back in. This might be of some help!
We are looking at a xenon bulb here. Unlike the OEM bulb, it is much brighter. The maglites in which I use them have these lenses. It is expensive to purchase LED bulbs and the original OEM collars are required. You save a lot of battery life with led lights that are 125 lumens or better

If you identify a spare bulb that's enclosed in a colored plastic sleeve, you've found it. Your surprise is just around the corner! In comparison with the hardware stores, etc. , this is a really good deal.
You should make sure that you don't already have a spare before you buy. In the bottom cap, underneath the spring that holds the batteries in place, it will be located.
My 2-year-old bulb is out, and I'd like to replace it Mag D - Flashlight and got this one thinking it would be a great improvement over the original. It turns out that I have a MagLight keychain flashlight that's about 20x brighter than the OEM bulb that came with my 2-in-1 A flashlight with a D-cell battery. As another matter of fact, a dollar store LED bulb is about 10x brighter than the OEM bulb, so I ordered these Actually, it turned out to be true. The original bulb is the one pictured here. Thus I have a third OEM bulb, and a flashlight that can kind of work, but only if you don't need it to illuminate anything, by the way.
I replaced one burned out bulb on one flashlight and replaced the backup spare bulb on the second. When I purchased a pair of these, the brighter one of them was, and once I saw how bright this one is compared to the other, I replaced the old bulb in the still working flashlight because of how much brighter this one is. Using new Lithium AA batteries which are initially higher in voltage than alkaline batteries, both flashlights have an impressive flashlight range. At this point, I am unable to comment on the longevity of these bulbs since I'm unaware of how that will affect them.
When the bulb burns out, you're out of luck. The mini mags are virtually indestructible, batteries are easy to find, but when the bulb burns out, they're out of luck. The point is that if you are outdoors hunting, fishing, or camping at night, you can use it a lot. It may surprise you to know that under the butt cap underneath the spring there is a place to keep a spare bulb. You can place an extra bulb in your Mini Mag if it does not arrive with one enclosed in a tiny foam protector. You can replace the batteries in the other end by removing the cap on the small end. After removing the spring, keep a spare in In order to replace a burnt bulb, remove (unscrew) the front end of the lamp along with the clear lens, remove the bulb straight out, insert carefully the two prongs of the new bulb, and you're ready to go.
It seems that I will be able to use it once I have it installed. I had a hard time getting the flashlight in the door. Bulb connection must be made to the base, and it is very easy for the bulb to become dislodged after screwing the cap on. wires on the bulb kept twisting and bending, and I had to use needle nose pliers to straighten them out and then reposition them. We are inserting them now. A real pain, like I said! A second one of this type won't be purchased by me. If you could just provide me with a bulb like the original, I would much prefer that.

What do you The device works it is bright and I am satisfied with it The two combine and it is just barely as bright as It was the retaining ring that would not attach to the light socket housing that caused my issue. As a result, I sanded the back side of the bulb adapter until it caught and started threading. While doing so, it also helped push the bulb adapter I just wanted to let you know. You should look in the battery cap I did not and guess what? We may still have a spare there! One of those happened to me!.
I have seen these bulbs for less than $10 several times before. I was shocked how cheap they were on Amazon when my old ones broke and I had to buy a new one. My mini Maglite has been around almost 20 years and I haven't burned out the original bulb or the spare that's included with it within that amount of time. The next time I order them, I probably won't need to. Perhaps that is why stores are willing to pay such high prices for them since they don't sell many of them because they are such high-quality items. It seems hard to believe that they sell the bulbs for the same price they sell the flashlight itself for. There is a real greed in the world.
