A few weeks ago the ceiling fan light just stopped working. When we moved into our home, the light wasn't very good, and then it went dead two weeks later. After removing the cover for the light, I found out that there are actually three small halogen bulbs, and the third had just gone bad. Fortunately I found these replacements, and thanks to Amazon Prime they arrived quickly and in good condition. My skin oils got on the new bulbs when I installed them, and I wore disposable plastic gloves while doing so, as they burn out quickly if your oil is on them. For some reason, I dislike these bulbs, which I need for my bathroom. The money to replace the fixture so that Halogen bulbs do not have to be used is almost ready to be spent. When they work properly, they last a long time and provide good lighting, but when they don't, I have to replace them because they don't. It is not possible to touch the bulb while it is being changed. When handling bulbs, I always make sure to use a paper towel between my fingers and the bulb. However, I usually have to change the same bulb twice or three times over a few weeks until.

What a bright bulb for such a small size

As these could not be found locally, I went online to Amazon and found them there. The lights in my ceiling fan are made from these. I would say the bulbs lasted 13 years before they needed to be replaced, so the value for money is excellent.

We have been using them for 17 years. There is a slight difference between the filament design and the original, but it is plenty bright nonetheless. Neither is sure how long they will last, but you won't have to spend a lot on replacing them.

I had an older "prop" style light that fits in the bedroom with the slanted and duct work divider, the fan was small enough to fit ( it's hard to find one) and they were a bargain and they work fine. This was how much I paid at a big-box hardware store for one of them. The last ones lasted a long time, so I hope this one does, too.
