There are a lot of bulbs in the package. There are a number of All in all, the pack was a good deal. They only have one problem - their base is wider than standard, making them appear to be a little "reluctant". As anyone with experience using this type of bulb knows, they are quite sensitive, so I was very careful when I installed it. Since I didn't want to break the bulb, I tried several times before getting it right.
Four of these bulbs burned out right away after we purchased 20 of them. When the bulbs went bad, the bulbs appeared to be filled with gray smoke. The light bulbs also have problems staying lit once they touch the socket and making contact. However, the LED bulbs we are replacing did not have either of these problems, and they did not dim. A dimmable LED bulb of high quality would have been a better investment.
Using these for a multibulb fixture was the best choice for me. It took a few years before the original bulbs burned out. During the first two months, these burned out. 5 of the bulbs in the fixture had to be replaced, one was One of the lights I didn't replace is still lit, and all the new ones I installed burned out again within a week.
At first I was confused because they came with the glass cover but it's just the bulb. I found a light cover fitting my lighting fixture that I installed over the bulb. Nevertheless, I found what I was looking for with the bulb.
These lights appear to create light using what I can only imagine to be a filament of some sort. No, I'm not an electrical engineer, but I bought them after sitting in the dark for a while. Although I can't speak to longevity yet, I will update this review if I remember in however long it takes for one of these to die. However, they are very bright and seeing how it was difficult to locate them in a brick and mortar store, I am grateful that I was able to get so many for what it would cost for just two.
I do not know how durable they will be yet since they are made differently but fit the Fixture anyway. At Lowe's, Home Depot, or Menards, I was unable to locate them. We are thankful to Amazon for having a replacement.
Despite this, one of these bulbs burned out after being installed, so it might have been defective. The rest of the bulbs do a good job of lighting the new sink fixture.
A recent purchase of four new light fixtures has been made Halogen bulbs of 45 watts are used in the fixtures. They are on hand to be sure I have them. I paid a great price for them.
