Despite my hopes for a simple install, it proved to be difficult. A typical blade connector was used on my 2015 pontoon to connect all switches. Two connection posts were included with this button, but they were not blade type, as they were on the originals. Additionally, the 3/4" hole was required instead of the 1/2" one on my original component. Apparently I did not catch the 19 mil part because the description says it fits perfectly. As a result, I had to drill out the greater hole in the dash plate and install a jumper wire to fit the screw type posts and add male blade fittings to the dash plate to make it work. A button that appears red on a black dash plate is larger than the original and looks good [all red]. Why is it impossible for ANYTHING to be standard nowadays? It may be as simple as plug and play plus a hole saw, electrical connectors, and 3 trips to the boat dock for most kids these days.
While all reviews said this was a pretty good product, I was a bit skeptical when I bought it. When I opened up the package, I was happily surprised by the number of quality features and the durability that it has. One of my momentary buttons went bad three years ago, and my train horns failed when I needed them. To accommodate the wider circumference, I had to remove the old button and drill a larger hole in order to accommodate the larger diameter. I was really pleased with it once it was installed. It started working like it used to, but the feel of the button and how much pressure it takes to operate it were great, as though it's two or three times what I would expect of a high-end product A button of the high quality found on aircraft. There is nothing to be disappointed about!.
I really like this button, and it works well. An installation is simple if you have some electrical knowledge. It does what I expect it to do when I push it.
On a multi pattern strobe light bar, I used this as a button to change the light pattern. Based on this set, we can In order to connect the ground wire to the pattern wire, you touch the pattern wire to the ground wire. I connected the ground wire to either end of the pattern wire. In order to work, you must push the button in. This makes contacts between the wires and changes you lift off the button, the one second connection will change the pattern, allowing you to change your patterns.
I didn't find any instructions, but installing it seemed straight forward enough. The button looks amazing and is two to three times more visible compared to the original button. I was able to install it easily since I didn't need to add any extra connectors since the wiring aspect has screws that turn down. I have no problems with it. My button needs will definitely be addressed by purchasing this product and I will add other colors to my collection.
Replaced my push button ignition with the standard replacements, but they always failed because of rust, and they made no spark once they I made it fit the hole size, and the spark now works as it should! This is designed for outdoors and doesn't use the 1/2 inch hole, but I managed to make it work!.
I was very pleased with the quality and installation process of the button. As soon as you push the button, it feels smooth, followed by a simple click to let you know that it has been A favorite part of mine is the solderless connection, I was wondering if others had the same experience but in fact I had a perfect connection with it. You can get this momentary switch if you are trying to find an affordable yet valuable product.
My riding lawnmower requires this as a starter button, so I purchased it. The light duty it provided wasn't sufficient for what I needed, so I wasn't able to use it. Although it's still a good switch and definitely very attractive, I still find it very appealing.
