In order to replace the green push start switch on my Grizzly jointer, I simply needed a 22 mm momentary switch (the one with the three-point control arm, the red emergency stop light, the red power light, and the green push button starter switch). Since the OEM part's plastic housing had broken and the button assembly had separated, I had to buy an OEM part at *2. Since the button assembly was not readily available on the OEM part, I bought an OEM part at *4. It would be cheaper to find a replacement or charge 5x to 3x the cost of shipping. I was able to find this three-pack of buttons by inspecting the old part of the Grizzly, since there isn't a lot of documentation for it. Using the OEM green starter switch, a momentary electrical circuit is temporarily switched to "on", engaging the magnetic starter switch on the jointer motor by pushing the button on the switch body in the jointer control box. OEM switches are wired for Normally Open (NO), so every time you push the button, the circuit will temporarily be closed. The wiring of the replacement was the same as the OEM, Normally Open. For my new switch, Normally Open was for the terminals labelled 23 and 24 (the OEM switch was Normally Open across the A test with an ohm meter will ensure your switches are working properly. As far as I am concerned, these buttons have exceeded my expectations. A NC and a NO are given away for the bargain price of $5 apiece, or $15 total. This button set is Please do not get me wrong, these are not the finest of metal buttons, but they will meet and exceed your expectations for just about any hobby or personal use. There are several things I like about these buttons the LED options aren't my cup of tea, and these buttons easily come apart and all the plastic is translucent, so it's easy to put my own LED into them. Normally open and normally closed switches are each equipped with a NC and NO side. This was very easy to customize because the internal components could easily be swapped.
