The unit is UL listed, has a neutral wire required, supports LED/CFL Incandescent 800W, Fluorescent 800VA light bulbs. The motor is a 1/4 HP unit with a single pole switch. A separate wall plate is available

Questions & Answers

What would happen if the large button automatically operated as an on/off switch (bypassing the timer functions), defeating the purpose of it being a timer switch for anyone not aware?

By holding the button down, you can override the light's timer and leave it on indefinitely, for example, if you would like to leave the light on while installing tile and didn't want to hit the button too often. By pressing a timed button or the power button, the clock is restored to its normal

Is there a way to activate the switch to make it stay on until I decide to turn it off?

On the spec sheet, it indicates it has a HOLD function. The unit, however, did not work out of the On the fan I ended up with, you turn it on and hold the button to keep it running. The switch will shut off if you push it again.

The current switching mechanism for fans is An additional two black wires are connected. The next wires are white and have a wire nut attached. Can you tell me which switch I should use?

Wires of the same color are the neutral wires which go back to the breaker box (if it is normally wired). I believe the black wires are most likely connected to the fan circuit When the switch is on, one of the two is on all the time, and the other (both) is on when it is switched off. It is the black wire of the switch that will be connected to the hot wire all the time. In this case, the red wire from your original switch will be connected to your other black wire, the one that is currently hot when your original switch is running. White (neutral) wires from the new switch will connect to white (neutral) wires on the existing switch. An area of green is the Ensure you are sure by checking with a local electrician.

The description states that the product is not meant for use in a bedroom. Can you explain? just want to go to bed, but after a few minutes of not seeing anything, my lights go out! ?

There are seven dark little rectangles (two on each side of the switch) that are blue leds that are continuously lit. There's an on/off switch on the bottom of the unit, as well as a delay time switch (I chose five minutes). The brightest of them are (A) and (B). Other than these five dim lights, the others are in good working order. The lights can not be turned Having this switch installed in the bedroom will provide the room with plenty of light. The solution we came up with was to hang a pot holder above the switch and cover the leds with it. If the manufacturer had given the purchaser a method to disable the leds, that would have been great.

The cable is made of aluminum
3/5

Describes the wires attached to this switch as stranded aluminum, however it does not mention for certain that they are stranded. Yes, it works, but make sure you use a corrosion inhibitor since copper to aluminum connections are not a good combination.

The timers are installed in all the bathrooms in my house
3/5

use these timers in my home bathrooms, and they have been nothing but trouble for me. The buttons started popping off and are starting to come off in small pieces. As well as being a source of safety concern for my family, this also provides a huge source of annoyance since I will have to replace all of the It was not easy to get in touch with either the supplier or producer. You should be aware!.

There is way too much brightness in blue lights
3/5

Here's an update. As a result of The switch for the light for 30 minutes has failed for the last five years. As long as the timer is active, it will work. In order to shut off the shower fan, it works properly. The one minute setting gave me the exact result that I could tell using a stop watch that it shut off at 60 seconds. There are only a few issues I have -- the blue lights are fairly bright, and may be too bright both in the day and at night. Using photographs, I applied three layers of white tape to the lighting on the bottom for comparison with the light on the side. The photos do not depict the intensity of the light. In addition, there is currently no better alternative on the market, so I can live with tape covering the lights since it is closer to the light level of a Lutron switch. I would still take the Luton switch if I could get a 30 minute early morning and late night switch.

HET06 is amazing- I love it This timer switch can be found in the R version
5/5

In my home, I have had 10 of these timer switches on lights and exhaust fans for the last three years, none of which has failed. As long as the last selected time's LED and the LED under the power on/off button are illuminated when the light (load) turns off, it will be a good choice for me. With this combination of illumination, the switches on this switch will be easier to locate at night, and you will be able to walk around the room with no problems. These switches are available in different versions, but they all look the same on the outside. HET06- if you want the version with the LEDs on as mentioned above, is the only one you need Because there are some reviews here that mention the night light feature, I assumed I would receive that version when ordering from this seller, but no, I did not. The HET06 was instead sent to me In addition, it turns off the LEDs after a few seconds instead of leaving them on all day. This means that it will also not serve as a nightlight. This difference will hopefully be noted in a revised advertisement. In the end, I returned this version and ordered the HET06-S from another Amazon seller.

It has BLINDING LED's and a good timer
3/5

I really like this timer it works well. Press a button, and you get access to the item (in this case, a vent fan). The LED lights provide a good amount of light, but several odd design choices and a major defect make me less inclined to recommend it. There is a first part to this when the fan is off, the LEDs stay I have no idea what to make of this. As a result, there are two LEDs on 24/7, instead of one. Additionally, the functionality has been reversed (fan on, LED on). The situation is very strange. Additionally, the LED lights are SO BLINDING at night that they are unusable. That's literally true. It is installed in the master bathroom and the lighting is so bright that it completely obstructs night vision when you are getting up at 2AM to pee. A bathroom door opened at an angle casts vivid shadows on a wall 20 feet away. The lights cast a noticeable glow throughout the entire bedroom. As for the LED's, I may try to paint them out with model paint and if that fails, I have to replace it. I am sorry, but it will look nice if it fails.

You'll be glad you did once you figure it out
5/5

Timer for Panasonic bathroom ventilator I use for activating it. I like the idea, but it seems to work backwards This function is easily accessed by turning off the big bottom lighted button on the front panel. The switch turns on when the little blue light on the big bottom button goes out, and the switch turns off when the big button is pushed again and the light returns to normal. The time period button at the bottom can be left regularly set to one of the smaller time periods, and you can use the bottom big button to toggle between those periods. You can also switch to a different small-sized program to activate it Time can be adjusted with the button. It is important that you experiment with it in order to learn what it is about. Having gone through it, you will feel confident in the options and operations available to you. A photo of the timer in the off position shows the 10-second countdown timer As soon as the bottom button is pressed and the bottom blue light goes out, the minute timer is ready for use.

Timer switch for exhaust fan that is neat and modern
5/5

The HET06A-series has been ordered four times The R key is used to control the Upon arrival, they were in good condition and easy to install. look nice and work well and are quite modern and functional as well. There are no issues with the LED lights. One reviewer noted that the unit felt warmer than a normal switch. I used a thermal scan reader and found that the LEDs do in fact heat the unit a little more than a switch without them. There will be a slight heat generated by the LEDs. Unless you have done a lot of switch replacements in your home, you should be aware that this unit has 4 wires you need to connect for it to function Most of the time, the switch you are replacing would have had only three The wire that carries the switched power that goes to the fan unit carries a ground, hot, and load. Newer homes will have a common neutral wire or common neutral wire bundle in the switch box. This switch has a 4th white wire that must be connected to a common neutral wire. It is best to look for that and connect the white wire from the new timer switch to it, as well as the green to the ground (copper), the black to the line that will be hot for the fan, and the red to the line that will be running.
