Is it possible for this driver to control a motor with 200 steps and revolutions? On the steps/rev setup, 400 appears to be the smallest number. ?

Yes, it is possible. The majority of them have a number of 200 on them. This type of driver, as far as I can tell, converts the motor into any of the steps that you specify in the output. I could be wrong, but I had no problems using this to control a Nema 23 200 step.br>br>If you're using something like Arduino to control it, simply set your steps to 400 in the code.

What is the maximum number of stepper motors that this driver can handle? At the very least, I'll need one for two. ?

Only one stepper motor can be driven by a single DM556T. You'll need two stepper motor drivers if you have two stepper motors.

Is it possible to use Arduino to send the control signal?

Look into the forums to see if it can be done with Arduino.

It's far superior to a tb6600

I just hooked it up for the first time after replacing a tb6600, and it's incredible. I'm surprised I didn't get one of these sooner. It's powered by a 48v power supply delivering 425 oz in nema 23. There's a big difference between the two. This one is worth the few extra dollars.
