Yes, if the step signals can be generated. One thing to keep in mind is the Raspberry Pi's load. You should definitely buffer the signals to match the stepper drive's requirements.br>br>I hope this helps.
This is not a geared stepper motor; instead, it is a regular one with a maximum rpm of 1000rpm.

There isn't a whole lot to say about it. I've been working with control systems for a long time, and I purchased this kit to aid in the modeling of a system in my shop. I'm a big fan of what you've done so far. There isn't much to say about it; it simply functions. The step, direction, and enable inputs are all optically isolated, which helps with system reliability and flexibility. They output both sides of the optos (cathode and anode), so you can simply reverse the wires if your signal polarity is reversed. Step sizes range from one to 51,200 pulses per step, giving you a lot of options. The output current regulation can be set anywhere between 0 and 100 mA. 75 to 4. The terminal strips are pluggable, allowing you to easily replace the drive if necessary. Separate terminal blocks for the motor, motor power, logic power, and control signals are something I would have liked to see. It would make the process of putting things together a little bit easier. I believe these terminals are stackable, so simply replacing the plugs with smaller ones should be straightforward. The engine is fantastic. br>br> It's a Nema 23 of epic proportions. The tourque is approximately twice as long as most. The motor swings a foot in the system for which I purchased this. The only thing missing from this kit is a motor mounting bracket. br>br>The only thing missing from this kit is a long piece of 1" square iron tube, and it does it with no problem and surprising speed. br>br> Those can be found on Amazon, but it would have been nice if it had been included. As my needs arise, I will undoubtedly purchase more of these.
Parts are in good condition, and the documentation is clear. I can't say enough good things about Automation Direct; you get exactly what you pay for and your order arrives quickly. It's a fantastic website. They have a belt calculator, a belt size calculator, a gear ratio calculator, a tooth calculator, and other tools to help you figure out exactly what you need. Many of their parts are also available as free 3D stl/object files to print. Everything related to automation is available in a large selection. I wish they sold aluminum extrusion or other structural building materials in modular form.
For getting a single axis going, this is a great combination. I would purchase this item again.
Great product, quick delivery, and I'm using it for my z-drive. axis.
The driver doesn't have a heat sink. Next time, be more careful.
