After years of AT&T service, we gave it up We have an AT&T land line. I was searching for a terminal board that would allow us to connect our house phone cables together at the AT&T service. With its screw terminals, this item was not only able to do so, but also had two bonus features I was able to test the RJ11/12 jack with my local phone, and the holes in the board made it easier to sort out the wires by color. It was wonderful to see that one of the three household cable phone lines in our 30+ year old house had the proper red and green wire color codes, which was not the case with the other two! In the end, I had to twist the ends of the same polarity wires together and then mount them in the appropriate screw terminals, after I sorted out the color codes. Great for those special projects that require the ability to interface a RJ11 cable to anything else like a microcontroller. There is only one thing you need a controller. The one I have is used to interface the Davis anemometer with a Particle Photon, and it works great. Two capacitors have been added, (0 and 1. Infinite capacitors of 1uF and 4uF are used. The suggested 4uF plus 7uF) will result in a total of 16uF. This resistor has a value of 7K*.

To test out phone cable, I used it to hook up to a connector and use an ohm meter to measure how much resistance the wire was under. I know it sounds silly, but one end of the wire needs to be bare while the other ends need to be connected.
