It allowed me the opportunity to use either a male or a female cable to connect the breakout board to the product I was attaching to it. It is easy to install, mounts to the DIN rail without any issues, and I connected my flying leads with no issues. Thanks to this product, I was able to build an 8 axis test fixture for my system.
Honestly, I love it so much. The adapter attaches to this type of din rail and is simple to use. In debugging a RS485 connection that spans RJ45, DB25, and DB9, I discovered that the connection was wonky. The sound of that is a little off. I used a protocol analyzer on the pins going in and out of converters to measure levels using all these adapters, but they were still perfect.
This is a good product. I would not use it for harsh industrial environments, but it is perfect for labs or environments that are protected. It was unexpectedly small to see the connectors on the terminal blocks. The AWG20 ferrule barely fits inside, but once it's inside and welded, it makes a strong Double DB connectors for female and male connections make things much easier. Even if it's not the most efficient breakout board, for the price, you definitely get a lot for your money.
I will purchase again.
The components are durable, well built, and of excellent quality. This software does exactly what I need it to do.

The product is solid while at a good price. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of packing and shipping.
It did what it was supposed to do.
