Due to these inexpensive carbide inserts, I can achieve higher levels of accuracy for close tolerance work. As compared to more expensive units, I can change out my insert more often due to the fair pricing. It is acceptable in terms of quality and fit. For a comparison of price versus longevity, the cheaper inserts last longer and cost less than the expensive inserts. For my uses in a variety of cutters, it is just fine. I save a lot of money due to the availability of these inserts, as well as the fabrication of tool holders.
As you can see, I have tried a number of inserts for my mini-computer So far, this is the most accurate and cleanest cutting lathe I have found. My problem is, when I give a good review of a product, I always see the price go up.
I have used my holders for plastic, aluminum, and steel and they fit and work great.
The chatter has been greatly improved. After installing these, I was able to turn the drill rod.
