Are they high end? No, but do they cut metal? Yes, and I do not have to worry about broken carbide since I am learning how to use my lathe.

They are a good looking insert

So far I haven't had a chance to test the inserts, but they appear to be A new set of holders was added to my toolbox. I think it will work just fine.
