I have never received a box as heavy as this one
5/5

have not yet used them. I do not understand why they are so good. A later update will be made. Even so, I felt compelled to add my voice to the discussion. The set I got was a big hit with me. There was so much weight in the box that I thought two sets had been shipped. It is obvious the craftsmanship is good and the materials are high quality. It could not have been sharper. A NEW UPDATE The four twisted motor mount studs could not be extracted so they were drilled out. Using one of the smallest sizes, I tried 12 bits in each hole, and stepped up to the next size. Their cutting abilities were flawless, they did not break and they did not appear dull. A previous job required me to drill over 40 holes with one bit hardly showing any signs of This product is very durable and of excellent quality. The bits I've mentioned above are highly recommended. Despite what you may think, you will not I would like you to consider the following Use steady pressure and a dash of lube when drilling slow.

It is a thing of absolute beauty! I am pleased with the Over the last 50 years, I have been a "weekend warrior" when it comes to home projects and DIY
5/5

Hope to hear from you soon )

I have not been pleased with the two sets of bits I've acquired I have found, for instance, that the "pilot tip" on one brand makes it very difficult to drill out a hole to a larger size. Additionally, I dislike the stiff, plastic indexes that came with them. Un- is a lot harder than it appears Make sure the latch is snapped. It must have been designed so that the index could not open in drops to a concrete floor. My index doesn't contain any bits, so I have never dropped it There are very strong snap-actions found in the cracks Locks can be frustrating at times, especially if your fingers are oily or sweaty. Even though I still have all the drill bit sizes in my old drill indexes, I admit that I have damaged some of the smaller ones throughout I ordered these, so I did. It took me double what I would have spent on a 'decent' set from a national brand, but so far I am very pleased with my choice. As soon as I opened the Amazon package and saw tiny oil stains on the cardboard box of the item's manufacturer, A film from the past - Is there a way to protect oil? Do you have any recommendations for tool steel that must be maintained? In this case, I found the idea pleasing. Opening the stamped sheet metal index to reveal dozens of tiny oil spots inside the cardboard box - I found that the metal is stamped in a way that made it look very old. It was quite difficult to take my eyes off the parts with the beautiful design! It was hard to believe how perfectly flat it was when I removed it and handled it I am proud of how sharp the leading edges of the states were.
This is more than just a collection of bits in an index it is a work of art! The photos show the process (see below). In my testing of the 3/16, I drilled 32 holes in a piece of very hard wood with a 10-inch drill bit The year is The 18V Makita cordless tool is old and in need of repair. As expected, the results were perfect and I noticed with satisfaction that it cut easier than my 8 year old DeWalt bit (3/16), which probably became dull over time as I used it so often. While I cannot comment on durability, as I just received them, I will say how delighted I am to own a real antique, and to own one that is as old as it gets These are a well fashioned set of quality bits, and I highly recommend them to anyone interested in buying a new set. It has been several days since I used these bits. I am impressed still. As an experiment, I ran one of the smaller bits (5/32) for 28 holes in 1/8" x 1 through it absolutely dry and without oil. Angle iron from Home Depot is 1/2 inch thick. In the future, I'll use a different cutting oil, because I don't like to deal with oily chips and get oil on the bracket. between the 18th and 28th holes. It was very clean on both sides of the workpiece, with no burrs in the holes. Thanks a lot for your help. picture of a cheap drill press chuck, bit and swarf.

I agree with everyone else on this
5/5

5. 0 stars out of 5. Because I cheaped out on drill bits in the past, I now have several partial sets of crappy drill bits left. I found them to be easy to drill through like butter the first time I tried them. The impression was very good. We recommend it.

Bits of high quality
5/5

One of the bad things about this much spending on drill bits is that now I am afraid to use them for something as mundane as lawn mowing. Unless I have a single replacement bit, I can't get a single new one. It’s just something I need to deal with.

The bits you sent me are exactly what I expected
5/5

A tool was made. As I'd become disgusted with the hit or miss quality of Chinese-made tools (as well as engine parts), I searched for the best U. S. To keep my budget in check, I made the best bits I could find. Though these were a step down from the ones I really needed, I decided to buy them because I needed a new set. The set I was used for today was used to drill more than a handful of holes in some new sheet metal panels we were In spite of all of this, they all held their edge. We even didn't have a single one of the 1/16 bits that always break on lower grade sets break. These are great, and I'm very happy with them. Now that I have discovered Norseman, I will be purchasing cutting tools from them first.

The bits are just as effective at cutting stainless steel as they are at You can find sharp drill bits here if you need them
5/5

I hope that you'll find these bits to your liking. My wife and I used two of the bits to drill two holes on stainless steel table tops. The process went so smoothly The material didn't take much effort to cut it.
Whatever the material is, I know it's much harder than stainless steel to cut it as cleanly as While I checked the bit to see if it was damaged after the cut, it seemed to be as if it didn't work, and was even cold. Very sharp and still in excellent condition. Happy for you! I would definitely recommend this!.

I like the bits, but I'm not lucky with the case
5/5

It has been years since I was using bits that my father handed down to me. It was a revelation when I learned these- The weight is heavy, the shine is brilliant, and the edge is This book is highly It would be more appropriate to redesign the case, as it is not very good. When you reach for the bit you want, it can be very easy to cut your fingers. Adding to the insidiousness, it is very easy for the little pieces to fall out of their positions, onto the ground, or hide in It is very important that you take care when handling your fingers and The container I have is too small and I need to find a solution.

The bits are of very high quality
5/5

I bought these from one of the Amazon third-party suppliers. I really like the look of this bit. It's sharp and appears It appears that the bits were coated with some type of oil lubricant, not sure if it is normal. Not sure if that was done at the factory or if the seller did that to reduce the risk of rusting (looked like it had never been used, since the bits were so I did get my other set for Brad point drill bits from Viking and it wasn't A good drill that drills through with ease and comes in a nice metal It appears that the American-made bits are made by CTD (consolidated Toledo drill), which is a subsidiary of Norseman Drill and Tool (which is owned by.
