This has proven to be a durable product

A lot of time is spent using this step bit. It is not reliable. Other step bit devices have not proven durable. I have used this bit to drill out a hole to the largest size more than 100 times in less than a month. The material is typically 1/4" thick and is drilled through. I use it every day and it still works as sharp as the day I first used it. One of the best steps bits I've used so far. It's my second one, and I have no idea when the first one will wear out. This is a great purchase!.

As part of our project, we attempted to build a belt grinder without using a With out the Jerax step bit, we could not have done the job. There were several step bits that we burned through, and this is hands down the most effective. Step bits are hard to find, so this is it!.

The bit cuts through metals and plastics very well! The inexpensive spiral bits will not work on metal surfaces for any length of time, I bought one and it was unable to make a hole in plastic and it would not work on a metal surface

An iron angle bracket with 1/4 in diameter was drilled with about six holes. The third hole was damaged when the tip broke. Afterward, Amazon replaced it with the new one, and I did the rest of the Apart from that, it served its purpose well.

I'm very happy with it. A drill press with slow revs and cutting fluid is used to cut the rubber. Steel is cut like butter with this bit.
