As seen in the photo, the two outer bits are 1/2 hex (#3) is the shortest bit in the center of the bit The apartment building is 338 meters across the flats. Three hundred and ninety degrees across the As I mentioned, I used the #3 bit in a 3/8" VSR drill with a traditional keyed chuck to cut holes in 16 ga steel sheet without experiencing any It was easy to handle the steel with all three bits because they were sharp. Since those "steps" on the #3 bit are meant for materials up to 1/8" thick, I am not sure I would want to use an impact driver to drill through thick materials, especially if I wanted to avoid creating holes that were larger than I intended. I don't own an impact driver, but I wish I did. I hope you find this helpful.

I received the drill bit set that came in a soft case. Hello Andre, I've got the drill bit set in a soft case. It felt a bit disappointing at first (since the picture implied that the set would come in a hard case), but the drill bit set was the primary reason for the purchase. As a result, I am very happy with my investment, as most, if not all, of the Irwin products I own are excellent.
Those on which USA is written are mine. The junk is not Utility boxes routinely use these to punch panels into them, and they have held up pretty well. The twist drill does not work as well as this one.

I use these for drilling steel up to 3/16", but they don't cut it. In hand drills with minimal oil (horizontal position), they perform this cutting action rapidly and without dulling, so far. If I had bought them first, I would have saved a lot of money.
Irwin's quality is what I expected. As of now, I've been able to drill to between 1 and 3/8th of an inch, may be able to go farther still. This was only needed to fulfill a customer's request. To protect your investment, I recommend using good cutting oil. It was mild steel 1/8 inches thick that I was cutting through. My experience with Irwin parts shows they have never let me down whenever I need good bits for my work.
IRWIN's step drill bit set is of good quality, and I only gave it 4 stars because one of the shafts was bent from the factory and wobbled at the end, but I would recommend, but make sure you check for any possible defects before ordering.
I never used them yet, but they seem to work well, the only downside to them is they came in a cloth bag with a black foam inside to keep them in place, not a big deal, but I get a little frustrated when I get something different from the picture.
The edges these bits leave are much nicer than my usual pilot point bits, which I used for my fiberglass car project. It is even possible to have a game that is un-guided It leaves a minimal cracking on the gelcoat due to the masking. Using masking tape and cutting toward the gelcoat is still the best method (though I recommend using it) to protect the gelcoat. My favorite part of the right-hand side is One with a lot of steps is the most difficult to climb Through a piece of fiberglass that is reasonably thick, it helps get nice straight holes. A minor drawback is that the sizes aren't as wide as they could be. largest one is, if I recall correctly, 3/4". If the set consisted of 3 wide ones, in addition to the medium and a narrow one, it would be slightly more versatile than the current set, which has 2 narrow ones.
In addition, There are several small Unibits featured in this product that seem to be brand new, but the largest one looks to have quite a bit of surface rust. Its edges seem to have been cut once, as there are metal shavings in the case from previous use.
With the step drills you can drill deeper holes as they have all the sizes plus different heights so you can drill a variety of sizes. It seems expensive initially, but you will realize this is worth the money when you start using them and when you realize how complex and inconvenient it is to use a single unit.
They will outlast any cheap set offered by anyone else. Sheet metal and steel seem to be the best materials for these drills.
