It might be a lot for you to handle. You might want to try a single cut burr in aluminum because it would be better. Alternatively, you can use some type of lubricant to do the job.
With an adjustable chuck, you can use these with a drill. A die grinder with a wheel will not accommodate them. Despite this, the 250 collet is still available.
If I had used it on metal, I would think so. As to avoid burning the wood, I would experiment with temperatures and speeds different from those specified above.

I had to grind out welds on my trailer that were beyond the scope of my grinder and saw this was the only option I had. Was surprised by the results since I had no idea what to expect. There are some nice sharp carbide burrs here, but some of them are not perfectly straight and true, so there is vibration and poor cutting ability with these.
