This is because they have the appearance, sound, and feel of actual high quality machinist's end mills, cutting heads, and machinist's tools that we ran in our CNC mills at the machine shop where I used to work The burrs I use for hand carving Lexan (plastic) into durable and detailed two-part molds are made from this type of grain. However, these are far superior than the typical types of burrs I am used to purchasing, that are sold at hobby stores and the big-box hardware / lumber stores, or that are part of the sets I normally purchase. This type of burr is so much sharper than those standard type burrs, that it actually makes a positive cut with a lot less pressure than those standard type burrs. The standard burrs always jump up and ride up unexpectedly out of my work area, cutting or marring parts of my project that I do not want cut or marred. I constantly struggle with my Fordom tool to keep the bur from jumping up or riding up unexpectedly. However with these little beauties, I have much better control, and the cut is much cleaner as well, making it a much more pleasant experience in terms of more detail. Then I can't wait to get to work with these, to see what the new possibilities of a better end result will be, and how much easier it will be to achieve!.

Yes, I agree. Yes, I am aware. Ultimately, who cares how much a product costs if it doesn't work? This set was required for one gunsmithing task that was serious but not too complicated. They would be trash to me, and we would be right back where we started. It performed more than I needed, and I did not see any wear after working with it, like I have seen with high quality carbide bits I have used before. I have no idea how durable the bit is, but I did not see any wear after using.

The reviews weren't many when I bought them, so I wanted to make sure to give them a review. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice these are. My goal was to buy nicer ones later because I needed them to get through a job quickly. My experience with them is that they perform flawlessly on brass, carbon steel, leather, and numerous copper silver alloys. Burrs themselves are cut well and are cut cleanly on them. There have been no issues with chipping for me. Due to the speed at which my flex shaft goes, I've only been running them at 15,000 rpm, but I would like to have something closer to 30,000 or more. This means 50,000 revolutions per minute. You're probably running them too slowly when you experience problems with carbide burrs. They prefer to run very fast. It's interesting to see how the cut designs are done on two of them. *Note that it didn't have any issues cutting the corner off of 1/4" steel plate. My attempt to carve some letters on a 2x4 was very easy to perform. As an added bonus, I was able to shave the 2x4. It does not appear that they have loaded As of now it is too early to tell what will happen when they are put to test. It is a great deal, but it is not a bargain.

Having seen some negative reviews on many of the burrs that came up when I searched, I did a lot of research into what burrs to buy for my new rotary tool. These sets took some time for me to decide on because I was unsure at first because the shanks are technically smaller than 1/8" which is what I needed, and another review said This was not the case, they fit just fine in my 1/8" tool and just needed to be tightened a bit The ones I have are fine and they cut through oak Overall, I'm very pleased with these burrs and I'm probably going to buy.

As of today I've only used it on a few small details so I gave it 4 Stars. Once I try them out I'll give an update. I'm looking forward to getting 5 Stars because it seems pretty good to me. The only thing I was disappointed in was I was shaving on a stick which was high and low and hence I was not getting an even trim. I tried some extra coarse extreme burrs by another seller last week and I only got to try them today. After inspecting it with a magnifying glass, I found that there were a good number of damaged teeth. Some of the teeth were broken and bent, while others were just melted solder, and I had to abandon the project I promised someone. Giving complaints is the last thing I like to do. can only hope it's as great as it seems to be.

Buying these to do some touch up work that had to be done with my dremel sander drum because it was too wide to fit It was great that it had a variety of tips and that it helped smooth out some of the cuts. A light sanding finished it up and the edge was great. There's only one reason why I gave this four stars versus five, which is because they all have the same "grit," so if you aren't careful, you'll rip through soft wood. In this case, I used birch plywood. The products have not been tested on thicker hardwood or any other type of material, but I expect they will do I was able to fit them into my Dremel on the first try, no problem The diameter and the length are good.
