A good quality product that should last a long time. The hardness of tungsten is much higher than that of carbide. A high carbon steel file can be used to file tool steel at a HRC of 55.

Is wood going to be carved? It is true. Though I'm not sure if it will leave a finish as smooth as you'd like. These are typically used for metals, so with their large teeth, they will be very strong enough to go through wood. However, with such a large tooth count, you will not get a smooth surface.

bought these burrs in order to do some porting Honestly, I'm not sure these are top of the line, but they were relatively cheap and had good reviews, so I thought they were worth a try. There are some burrs in my package that I received that are not very sharp, and they require a great deal of pressure to As soon as the burr starts to skip around, the teeth are at risk of chipping. The results may be decent if you're using softer materials, such as wood or aluminum, but hard materials, such as iron and steel, may not work well. I purchased a burr for $15 that has better cutting and durability properties, and it is more expensive than a single burr of the same quality. The burr on that one cutter has cut more metal than a whole box of this. If you're cutting hard material, it would be wise to just bite the bullet and upgrade to a better burr.
With a 25 yr old 20 gallon/120 psi compressor and a 20 yr old air grinder that isn't that great, I am working with over 20 yrs of old equipment. 80 psi was more than enough pressure for these bits to eat 7/16-inch The holes I needed to window were about 1/8" wide and I was able to open them up each within a few Astonished was the best way to describe my reaction. There are no words to describe why these bits are the best. Unless line pressure is turned down, these might be difficult to use with the appropriate tool.
To use them with an electric Makita 1/4 inch die grinder, I ordered these. The only reason I chose this set is because the reviews were good and they were expensive, so I guess they're going to work, It depends on what you want to cut. These tools allowed me to clean up some welds, grind away some stuck bolts, and carve out a door latch. Great set. I'm very pleased with it.
You can even use It is better to use aluminum specific carbide on aluminum than aluminum specific carbide. If they load aluminum or zinc, use ammonia as a cleaning solution. Despite the case being a little weak, the burrs may rattle out of the case. It will stay in the back of my work truck, which isn't exactly smooth to ride. Many times it is off the beaten path. The burrs are fine if they will live in your tool cabinet or bench. To prevent the burrs from falling out and hitting each other, I taped the lid with a single layer of double-sided foam tape. Burrs cannot fall out when the lid is closed because this mechanism prevents burrs from falling out. There is a secure snap on the lid. Now everything seems to be fine.
The hell broke loose as I bent to their will. This worked very well for me. Despite bending one of them like a madman and being able to bend it back, they are very strong. This metal is very high-quality and would not have snapped if it were anything else. It was my job to trim metal, plastic, and other materials. In addition to the quality plastic case that holds them, I love the fact that the batteries never go bad.
It was nice to grind down some mig welds with these. The first few grinds were quite deep for me, but I got the hang of it after a short period of time. Please read carefully
- It has been used on about 100 2" long welds in many corners, and its 2 largest bits are in good shape there are a few chips in the teeth but they still perform.
They are much cheaper on Amazon than through MAC or MATCO catalogs. *When using aluminum bits, spray the bits with WD40 while using them and make sure you clean the aluminum out every so often with a wire brush. They will last you a lifetime. IMPORTANT NOTE The LSA superchargers have been ported with their help.
I still have carbide burrs that are over 20 years old and use them every day. These are poorly made and not very sharp. They are cheap as well, because they dull very fast. Having spent less than 10 minutes on them, I switched back to the dull ones I've had for 20 years.
