A band saw blade that is 80 inches long can only be used on a band saw that was designed to use a blade that is 80 inches long. On a band saw, there isn't much room for adjustment to fit any other blade size.
No, this blade cannot be used to cut metal. It's only designed to work with wood.

The blades are far too thin to be effective. It's difficult to cut a radius out of it because it's so flexible. Within 3' of cutting 5/8" acx plywood, the set was up on one side. The blade thumped with a weld thump and then broke. The second blade lasted a little longer and cut two times as much as the first. I've been using the same Sears bandsaw for 30 years and know how to set it up for 1/2" radius and larger without trying to buckle, but it's getting dull quickly and losing the set on one side. This is the first and only time I've had such bad luck with a blade. From now on, I'm only going to use Bosch, Lennox, or Starret.
I believe I noticed a slight slowdown in cutting speed near the end of the run, but that is to be expected. The blade tracked smoothly and true, with no noticeable bumps at the welds. These blades are, in my opinion, good value for money.
For two high-quality blades, this is a good deal. Mark the one you're not going to use right away with a tag. They don't come in a box, so you might throw the second one away by accident!.
My father frequently has me order tools for him and then tells me if he likes them or if they're worth the money, and I'm happy to report that he was pleased with the quality and price of these blades and would purchase them again.
Do not buy; I've been woodworking for over 45 years, and these blades were a complete mystery to me. They were only willing to cut a slight curve in the wood. Also, whether it was a curved or straight cut, they left deep blade marks in the wood.
Item arrived on time, was well packaged, and included instructions for opening and separating the blade without injuring myself. It fits perfectly and is extremely sharp, making cutting wood much easier than with the old blade. I'm very pleased.
These blades were well-made, fit my saw, and performed admirably. I'll order from the same company again if I need more. It was also a good value.
