That's how good they are. I found a great deal on a used Delta bandsaw and went over it from top to bottom, inspecting bearings, knobs, and adjusters, among other things. I decided to keep the blade because it appeared to be sharp. Because this was my first bandsaw, I had no idea how to cut properly. However, the blade that came with the saw had a slight wobble, so I decided to replace it, which is why I ordered the Timber Wolf. br>br>When the blade arrived, it was in a plastic bag with a photocopied set of instructions, so I was a little disappointed. I was expecting more commercial packaging and asked the seller if this was really a Timber Wolf. He quickly responded, informing me that the Timber Wolf brand's manufacturer only sells in bulk to them, and that each reseller must package them in their own preferred packaging. I mounted the blade and adjusted the tension and alignment after I was satisfied with his response. Holy cow! The contrast between it and the original blade caught me completely off guard. It really does cut with ease. It tracks true, and the cuts are straight and clean, as others have stated. br>br>I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this one. The seller was fantastic, and the blade arrived on time and in excellent condition. With confidence, purchase one (or more). I have no qualms.
I didn't realize there could be such a big difference between blade brands because I'm new to bandsaws. After purchasing three different width Timber Wolf blades, however, it only took one use for me to change my mind. It was almost as if I had a new bandsaw after carefully following their blade tension instructions and lubricating each blade with spray cooking oil before use. My old blades couldn't cut 3/4" basswood when sawing a treated 2"x4" on edge. For such an aggressive grind, there is no drift at all, and the finished cut is extremely smooth. Best of all, the blades are so consistent that changing them (3/16", 3/8", or 3/4") requires almost no re-calibration. tightening I haven't noticed any degradation in performance after several months of intensive use. I'm going to order these blades again when it's time to replace them. This is a fantastic value for money combination of performance and price.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on my new blade. It was well-packaged, and the instructions were clear. I had to be careful when installing it because it was very sharp. Now for the bad news. br>br> I gave it a test run and found that it was cutting the right side of the wood very rough. I assumed there was a problem with the weld. I found the weld and it appeared to be in good condition, so I continued to examine it. It turned out that one of the teeth was severely misaligned and bent. I bent it back to the best of my ability, and it now cuts smoothly. I guess I was expecting a high-end blade, but I was let down. I'm undecided about ordering from you again.
I am not an expert on blades, but I am familiar with the three brands I have used; these Timber Wolf blades are as sharp as a utility knife; my other blades required the wood to be pushed through; the T W pulls the same boards through, runs true, and is noiseless. br>I would not have known about these if it hadn't been for the internet. blades. Jimmy DiResta, a band saw expert, has a YouTube video that can help any procrastinators with these blades.
It's so much fun to use a new blade on the bandsaw! This blade was unquestionably superior to the one I had before it. I decided to do a tune-up after changing the blade. Also, I'm up on the saw - It was in desperate need. Following the tune-up, I used a honing stone to round the back of the blade and blade lube to keep it lubricated. It slices through even the toughest wood like butter. In the future, I'll definitely stick with Timber Wolf blades.
The blade is of excellent quality. I was using the low-cost ones from Lowe's, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get them to align correctly or cut straight. This one only needed a few tweaks and cuts like butter and super straight.
It has a razor-sharp edge, follows a straight path, and glides through hardwoods such as maple like butter. It's still as sharp today as it was when it was new after three months of moderate use. br>Timberwolf is now my "go-to" source of information. I strongly advise all bandsaw users to purchase the "to" brand. It was well worth the money.
I spent over $200 on a 3/8 Lennox Carbide Blade prior to getting this blade. I was cutting a piece of 2" Maple when it jammed and bent after only a few weeks of use. The blade had completely lost its utility. When I contacted the vendor, they informed me that there was little they could do. This blade was used to replace it, and it worked perfectly. I was blown away by how smoothly and flawlessly it ran. I have no reservations in recommending this book.
