What happens to the rubber tip if it comes ?

There is some sort of tip that comes off, but it is very, very difficult to remove.

How can I get the screw out of the baseboard since it's where I need to place the new one? When I took off the old one, the screw stayed in the baseboard. Is it possible to get it out?

It won't work with a rubber gripper, so try using your fingers to turn it counterclockwise. If it won't work with pliers, try With your fingers you should be able to twist it off once it begins to spin. Hope you have a good day!

I returned the same item (door stops) to a large retailer. A useless piece of trash. There is a longer shaft on these and they are much stronger. I would order from this company.

I bought these recently when we moved into a 1970s house that had been renovated

They are well made and a good price. This house had old-fashioned springy door stops, but many of them had been painted over or were in bad shape. Buying these from big box stores will cost you a fortune. This door stop was extremely well made and finished, and I am very pleased with it.

The screw was on two of the four the other two did not Taking everything apart was exactly what it took to fix this, but it's clear that this is not a very high-quality product. They look fine, though. As for their durability, we will have to wait and see.
