Entry can be gained using a push button dial or a key, just like a traditional lockset. The exiting of the room is always a passage, with or without a lockable thumb turn, depending on what is ordered. Again, it is dependent on the order.
When I placed my order, however, a man called and inquired as to which type I required. Ask the seller a question by looking at him or her.
This lock is designed for restricted access control within a property, building, or other structure; it could be used outside, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I found a 26D (with a left-hand lever) on Amazon for half the price of what I could get locally. The product arrived two days after I ordered using the Super Saver free shipping option at my pick up location in Niagara Falls, NY. This is a heavy-duty, high-quality door lock for industrial use. It's a product of the United States of America. br>br>I read the instructions from beginning to end before installing the lock. The instructions were simple and straightforward, and installing the lock was a breeze. To complete the installation, you'll need a 2 1/8" and a 1" holesaw. br>br>Changing the combination is simple if you follow the manual's instructions. There are five different keys (1-5) that you can use. This door lock has a rating of 5) on it. Because each key can only be pressed once during the combination, the total number of keystrokes is limited to five. It is also possible to program a combination in which you press two keys at the same time to make it a little more difficult to figure out the combination. br>br>When ordering, be cautious.
