My experience, on the other hand, was flawless, and I found these hinges to be an excellent value purchase! br>br>First and foremost, why is it so difficult to find truly black hinges in local big box home improvement stores? We checked every one we could think of in the vicinity and they're all either coated aluminum (silver) or brushed bronze (also known as BROWN)! I don't want brown hinges to clash with the matte black fixtures in my spare bathroom. So, forget about your neighborhood stores and put your faith in these. There are no brown hinges on these hinges; they are matte black. Second, some reviewers claim that their hinges were poorly packaged and damaged when they received them. Again, with so many products being sent out, there are bound to be some issues, but I had none. They arrived in a small box, each wrapped in a loose-fitting plastic bag and with the appropriate number of screws. There are no problems with the quality of this product. br>br>If you're looking for hinges that open flat, these will suffice. As you can see in one of my photos, I've opened it on top of the shipping box and it's completely flat on the surface. On my spare bathroom prehung door, we installed three hinges, which work perfectly. There are no slow or controlled close features on these; they simply open and close. I'll point out that the pins do come out, but not without a struggle! Because I was already removing hinges from my prehung door, I decided to try removing the pins from the hinges before installing them, and I'm glad I did. I had to turn the hinges upside down in my bench top vice and hammer the bottom of the pin downward with a punch and hammer! They did eventually break free, but not without a fight, as I mentioned. When I installed the hinges on the door to fit my door and frame to the rough opening, I only slid the pin back in the hinges far enough to allow the door to function properly so that I can easily pull them out when I remove the door to paint it. br>br>With the exception of the struggle to remove the pins, these are exactly what I needed! I hope this information was useful in making your decision. They were very effective in my case. Oh, and before you leave, go to your local home improvement store and price out 18 hinges, then come back here and buy these! LoL! These are far more cost-effective!.

After removing the paint from the previous homeowner's old hinges, it was simple to install. The door opens quietly. The brushed finish adds a touch of class to the piece. I really like the fact that there isn't any branding! Excellent value for money. All necessary screws are included in the package. These appear to be durable; I'll update my review if necessary. Now is the time to purchase.

Individually wrapped and in perfect condition when it arrived. There were a lot of extra screws included. The only issue is that the pins are not removable. It is nearly impossible to get rid of them. Given their price, I'm okay with it.

Tolerances are very broad - You can hear the grinding of metal on metal when you're moving under a lot of weight. Many of the hinges had scratches as well. br>I'm going to return these hinges and replace them with the more expensive options available at big box stores.

It's just a simple black hinge that works fine. Most hinges should close all the way, but these ones don't. A 1/8" of an inch gap exists in the closed position. In most cases, this should be fine, but be cautious when installing a double door system. Our double door didn't close all the way because of these hinges.

The stoppers are included in the price, so it's an unbeatable value. In my house, I used these to replace all of the paint over crappy hinges, and they took care of everything for $30! The new look is fantastic. Some people complain about the packaging, but I thought mine was well-packaged. Included is a photograph.

True, you must use a hammer to tap out the pins from below, but they will eventually come out. The fact that you can only buy them in packs of 18 or 30 is my only gripe. That means I'll have some left over, which isn't a big deal at this price.
