On the hinges I received, the pin will not come out.
It's closer to 5 pounds in weight. These are good, heavy-duty hinge plates, and in this quantity, they're a great deal.
I'm not sure where they were made, but I can tell you that they look great on all of our interior doors. I strongly advise you to do so.
The ones I got were not Hager brand (there was no stamp on them). Despite the fact that they are Anvil Mark, they appear to be quite nice. They're plain black (which we like) rather than "rubbed bronze."

All of our interior doors are being refinished, and we're replacing the old brass knobs, hinges, and other hardware with Oil Rubbed Bronze components. I purchased the pack of 40 Hager hinges because I have 12 doors to finish. I'm happy with them because they appear to be of good quality and come at a reasonable price; however, the screws that come with them are the reason I gave them a lower rating. The hinges I'm replacing (made by Stanley) used 9 x 3/4" screws, so these are 8 x 3/4" screws. Because the 8s are nearly a tenth of an inch smaller in diameter than the 9s, the threads barely catch and strip out easily when I try to screw them into the old screw holes in my door frames. As a result, I needed to purchase larger black screws to install the hinges (40 hinges x 6 screws each = 240 screws!). To ensure that the screws would hold, I went with 9 x 1" screws. If you're hanging new doors on new door frames, the provided 8 screws should suffice; however, if you're replacing existing hinges, as I am, proceed with caution! Before ordering these, double-check the screw size on your old hinges! You might find yourself at your local home improvement store, like I did this morning, looking for the correct screw size.
I was in the process of replacing old, ugly brass door knobs with rubbed bronze, which I normally don't buy online because I prefer to see the quality in person. I considered painting the old hinges until I realized I was being stingy and that they, too, needed to be replaced. After seeing how ridiculously overpriced hinges are at the big box stores, I came across these. I'm glad I decided to take a chance on them! These are of excellent quality. They arrived in perfect condition, well-protected, and with a timeless appearance. I agree with the other reviews that they are more black than rubbed bronze, but who cares? I chose the 40-pack and saved $26 compared to the big-box stores. If you're on the fence about them, just jump over to the other side and buy them!.
I needed ORB hinges to match the new door handles because I was replacing all of the old brass door hardware on our new home. I bought more than I needed because some reviews indicated that the quality could be inconsistent, but I had no problems. Before placing my order, I double-checked that I had the correct hinge size and radius. I was only looking for a quick swap-out. without having to do any additional work. out of the old hinges without having to do any additional work. I had about 13 doors with hinges that needed to be replaced. It took me about an hour and a half to complete. These hinges looked fantastic, and I didn't have a single one that was defective. They look fantastic on my doors, and I had no idea how many of my old hinges were squeaky until I installed these. They've gone completely quiet!.
Don't let the fact that they're all black scare you away. Yes, they are darker than oil-rubbed, but that doesn't really matter considering how little you see them. My standard doors, which we purchased from Home Depot, fit perfectly. br>br>My only criticism is that there should be a 51ct option rather than a 50ct option. It may seem silly, but if you replace three hinges on a door, you'll be one hinge short.
It appears that the hinges are of high quality. These are being used in place of brass. Because they are black, I gave them a four out of five star rating. The screws, on the other hand, are oil-rubbed bronze. I went to Lowe's and looked at their oil-rubbed bronze hinges, which appear to be black as well. So, rather than returning them and trying a different manufacturer, I decided to keep them and install them. I had to buy 66 of them to replace all of the hinges in the house because they were one of the cheapest I could find. Installing it was a breeze. You must inspect the hinge in person if you want it to be specifically oil rubbed. If you don't mind the fact that they're black and want to save some money, these are the ones to go with.
Instead of gold hinges, I now have bronze hinges. These were purchased because I prefer bronze. If you're looking for bronze, these will do the trick. They're of good quality, and they came with bronze screws as well. Which is good because it would look odd if I had to use my old screws (which, as previously stated, were gold). The hinge box was quite heavy, so if you have weak wrist lifting abilities, enlist the help of a friend. Also, replace the hinges one at a time; otherwise, the door may fall on your toes, making the job much more difficult. If you are unfamiliar with this material, you should probably avoid purchasing these, but I enjoy them and would purchase them again. But that won't happen anytime soon because my doors are finished!.
They're also small and light. I was disappointed, but I can't really complain because the price is so low when compared to brackets from a local hardware store. However, there is a significant difference in quality and color, so keep that in mind before making a purchase. These brackets are only suitable for hollow interior doors, in my opinion. They might not be heavy enough for solid doors. The packaging is attractive, and the brackets are free of scratches. For a total of 68, I purchased two sets of 50 and 18. Because they are so small, the quality may not matter as much because most people will not notice them. Aesthetically, it's the door knobs that matter most.
These are 100% dark dark dark dark dark I ordered them because I needed black and read that in several reviews. They have a good feel to them and are replacing other Hager hinges with a different color. I purchased a box of 40, which are shipped with only the world's thinnest paper between them for protection. As a result, many of them have been damaged, and some have already begun to rust. They're really nice, except for the terrible shipping and the incorrect color in the description.
