While I'm unaware of the country where this product was made, I can tell you that it's of the highest quality. This roll of Velcro is extremely adhesive. The only thing that you should be worried about is that you don't get it in front of your mashed potatoes. This roll of Velcro and mashed potatoes are not friends and will start a fight that will be extremely messy. Don't worry, Velcro always wins the fight, but it will lead to a lot of cleaning afterward and, by the time it's all said and done, it might even be worth getting a new roll. It's my pleasure to help
