The last 30 years have been a blur. A strong adhesive that can be peeled off and reused, the adhesive sticks strongly but is reusable. Materials like the fastener material stick together such that they can support loads you wouldn't expect them to be able to support. It is very misleading to describe this product in this way. In the product description, it says 1" by 10', but it fails to mention that you have 5' to work with since the Velcro (the Hook And Loop) is the same length on both sides. It would have been returned if I had not been desperate and in a bind to use * * *UPDATE The document is not even a full length when I went to use it. To make up the 10', it has three different lengths. The item will have to go back to the store, and I will have to find something else.
The product is as described, but you only get one strip, so you will only get half of the coverage compared to an equivalent order of Velcro. I love it. In spite of the fact that title sounds like a bot review, I am going with it. Everything I own is made from this stuff. The USB hubs I mount on my desk are mounted on the side. I keep boxes for my rechargeable batteries on the sides of my shelves, right next to the charger. This stuff used to hold together tolltags that used to attach to windshields. It would not melt and fall off in Texas heat and cold where Velcro adhesive did. It is even possible to hold a tiny camera in a hockey helmet's saturated humidity by using a square inch. I just mounted a camera and one USB charger, and they are made from materials that the adhesive will not adhere It is something I do not understand. In any case, I was able to scrape it off pretty quickly with my Dremel. It could not completely come off on one small camera, so I scraped it off using an X-Acto blade Even though that was tedious, I was still glad I got to see it. I found that this adhesive was fine once I got down to the plastic. It is stronger and more stable than Velcro.
The interlocking knobs also held a lot better than Velcro. When it comes to charging devices such as hubs, I feel more confident. Approximately a year's worth of service came out of my first roll of 10 feet. There are only a couple of feet left in my roll, so I've ordered another one. This is a highly recommended book.
