There is a lot of useful information here. A solid connection is formed between the two sides that have mated. In one "strength" (or more), the product is offered as a strip containing 170 dots mated to a 400 dot strip, while in the other, two strips containing 250 dots each are offered. Their strength of hold as well as the ease with which it will shear (intentionally) to separate them affect the strength of the hold. It is the former that I bought. In terms of leveraging the differences in the strips, I used the 400 dot side at the "fixed" anchor point (the part that won't move, like the wall or fixture), and the 170 dot side on the "movable" part (the part you will A good solid hold is provided, but the release is achieved with proper tension (and and motion direction). A bit tricky to work with is the glue on the back of the picture. I love It's seriously one of the strongest stuffs I've ever used. There's not even a chance of taking off due to it being too strong. As a producer, I've used it and many others to build pedal boards (just about any way you can imagine). This is super strong bonded, but it also has the disadvantage that you cannot regularly update firmware, change pedals, modify your pedals etc. IF you don't like this, you shouldn't do this. Then attach it with this. Finish your board, THEN attach it Two awesome pedal boards were built from scratch by me, an indoor pedal board and an outdoor pedal board. Bass pedals are smaller than guitars and eventually will be smaller than guitars. There is no way that I can be afraid of anything going wrong while walking sideways on the board. When I took some smaller but not huge devices off (voice live 2, and not a vox tonelab se) I broke several of the little clasps, I doubt you would take it off frequently, but if you don't push it so hard, it might snap. Be sure to protect your investment, but let this be the last board you build for some time.

The bolts are quite heavy duty, significantly stronger than the low profile Dual Lock buckle that I had before (identified by the "wave pattern" on the studs). The 170 uses a checkerboard pattern of studs while the 400 uses just about the entire surface area. There is a thick plastic sheet beneath both of them. Almost any hard surface can be adhered to the backing, which has a strong adhesive. If you are going to use alcohol or a cleaner, ensure that you clean the surface well and that it is completely dry and adhered. My favorite part about the adhesive is that I can run a lighter over it three or four times to get a stronger bond in cold weather. In general, dual lock is not so tricky to remove if both sides are really well bonded, but if you'd like to remove it, grab a corner and work slowly until you can remove the dual lock with almost no residue. Whenever you will be using this on a delicate surface, such as a dashboard, or if you will need to remove it, test a small piece in an inconspicuous area first. A dual lock temporarily joins two objects securely while giving you the option to detach and remove all at once. Despite its many waterproof and weatherproof features, it does not require maintenance. If the surface gets dirty, it can be easily cleaned. 3M's product may be similar to those made by others, but none rival its quality. With this wallet, you get a ton for the price. I have bought it in black for many occasions now. I have also bought clear for when I don't want it to be as visible. The background does have a slight white tinge, but that's not a big deal for me since it's just a small thing to mention.
