It provides a strong hinge for ailerons or rudders on the flight surface. It does not stretch and is rigid in terms of stretching, but it is flexible enough to allow for the movement of the flight surface.
It has a diameter of one inch.
**I'm not affiliated with DuBro or 3M in any way. This is not a paid endorsement** br>I can't say enough good things about this product, which I've been using for a long time. Blenderm is the name of the tape. 3M Medical Tape is a medical tape made by 3M. It has excellent adhesion properties and can be used in virtually any environment. It's designed for use with foam planes. Gassers will most likely dissolve the adhesive if they come into contact with it, so I use it on one side of the moving surface in small applications and both sides in large applications. If you're working with a large moving surface, flex it to its maximum and apply it to both sides. You'll want to place the tape in the 45-degree channel. This can be accomplished by flexing the moving surface. br>Have fun flying!

Don't be fooled by the $2 price tag at Walmart.
This tape can be used to make a hinge for a foam airplane. My son's foam airplane's flap had completely broken off, so I used it to repair it. I was about to place an order for a $60 replacement wing when I came across this tape. The tape wouldn't flex nearly enough at first because I applied it incorrectly. My second application was successful after I watched a YouTube video on how to use it. br>br>To avoid watching the video, bend your flap to the point where it would normally articulate. Tape the bowed flap with the tape. Then flip the wing over and repeat the process on the other side. I reinstalled the servo arm, and it now works as it did before it broke.
Always works well and can be used for RC hobbies or bandaging. If you've ever used Blenderm tape (which is similar to this), you'll know how flexible and durable it is. I mostly use it for hinge tape on RC planes that aren't too heavy - Blenderm, on the other hand, was designed for use in the medical field to adhere to the skin where bandages or sutures were present. Both work well.
ONE is CLEARLY DISPLAYED on the tape. ONE AND A HALF INCHES WIDE (1 1/2 INCHES WIDE) If it were 1/2 ") WIDE, it would most likely work as intended, but it is only (ONE INCH) WIDE, (1") WIDE. This means that there will be less surface contact area, allowing for better adhesion. I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me the product described, thank you.
This tape is one of the best I've ever used; it adheres well and goes on smoothly. It hasn't peeled off yet, despite the fact that I've had it on for several flights. You won't be able to tell once it's on; just make sure there's no air between the tape and the surface.
br> I lost an alearon on my plane and had to repair it in under a minute.
They're not the best for hinges, but they're perfect for small planes. I wrapped a strip around both sides of the surfaces, pinching the tapes together in the gap. In the field, I've also used hinge tap.
It's simple to use; simply cut the length you want and press it in place. On foamy planes, it's really cool.
