There is only one side to this story.
Yes, it easily separates from the roll. Separating the backing from the foil, on the other hand, requires caution.
I'm not sure what the minimum and maximum quantities are, but this is the best foil tape I've ever used. br>3m is removed from the equation. That is not the case here. br>At least, that's what I've found to be the case.

This is exactly what I needed to tape up some foil faced foam board insulation, and it worked perfectly. Super sticky, but take care not to cut yourself on the edges, as I did - After all, it's made of metal. I ran out of this and had to rush to a nearby big box store, where I found it, though it wasn't quite as thick as this. Peeling the backing off and working with the thinner stuff is much more difficult. This (4mil) tape comes highly recommended by me - It will not be a mistake!.
I hadn't even opened the package when it began to stink! I got a response right away!.
It stays put, is easy to remove, and re-sticks well. I wrapped some around my woodstove pipe and it has so far held back smoke and taken a very high temperature of heat with no smell, no burning, and no problems. Excellent product.
It reminds me of heavy aluminum foil. It comes with a peel-off backing and worked well for sealing around vent ducts behind the cover. If you wipe the area first, it helps with adhesion, and it's thin enough to manipulate to fit where you want it. It was used to seal the duct-to-wall gap. This purchase has made me very happy.
The tape was flimsy. It kept tearing and falling apart by itself. I couldn't wrap a 1 inch pipe for more than a few inches without it ripping. I tried everything I could to put it to good use, but it was a waste of time.
In my living room, I've installed a new exhaust system, but my mechanic isn't happy. As a result, this tape is currently holding my exhaust system together. It can withstand the heat and withstand a downpour with ease. I've had no problems with adhesion, and the thickness helps to keep noise to a minimum. It's also very simple to put into practice.
I used it to tape together dryer ducts and it was very simple to remove the paper backing. This tape is very strong.
This isn't duct tape in the traditional sense. I'm making cans, pots, and pans for 18" dolls with it. This is gleaming and bright. Duct tape that isn't made of cloth isn't going to work.
