I work in the motion picture industry and this tape works great for temporary marking but never leaves any residue on my work( I use a variety of different kinds of tape). It is true that all tape leaves a residue after a long period of time. Here in Phoenix, even the asphalt can melt so tape in the heat will goo up regardless of consumer quality/price considerations.
