There is no comparison between the "flex seal brand" sealer available on the market and this product. On several occasions, I have used this product and it has proven to be a good one. Depending on the amount of product applied, it provides excellent waterproofing. Two coats are usually enough.
The tile I installed dries within an hour or two. I've always done it that way and waited until the next day. But is it really that fast? I like your stuff a lot!

This was used to water resistant our rock board after we rebuilt the shower walls of our guests bathroom. The product dried fast and was exactly what we needed before we laid our thinset and tile. We will purchase more in the future!.
Taking care to clean up before it dries is easy, as long as you do it before it dries, there is no overpowering smell. Additionally, a fan was running for ventilation in the bathroom (my contractor said it might smell because the red waterproofing supplied by another company is very heavily scented). In the end, I painted the walls three times. Finding out the hard way that it works is the best way to learn about it. As a result, I did not paint the drywall along the shower walls, only the cement board. On the bright side, the tiles extended a tiny bit over As part of the prep before painting the walls, I taped off the tile trim to keep it clean, painted, and then removed the tape only to have it pull all the paint off the drywall. Our eyes were opened to the fact that the wall was still damp from the tile. After letting it dry for a couple of days, we applied a thin layer of mud, dried it for a few days and then repainted it. I'll make sure to cover everything possible to avoid contact with the tile next time! It was super easy to get this stuff to stick to the walls, just brush it into the corners and roll it.
It is excellent quality at a great price! You can seal up your Durock before tiling with this simple method! My favorite tool for applying it was a throw away roller. Although I used a paint brush, I would highly recommend it. If you find pinholes between layers, you may want to fill them with a brush. Using just this one pail of paint, I was able to do both coats on my shower surround. After including both of the niches I built, my surround stands at about 65 square feet. A 30" X 42" window is at the end of the long wall that I deducted. However, there was still enough left to finish the job after the first coat used up the bulk of the container.
I am amazed at what this product can do. YouTube was my go-to YouTube channel to see the steps. This product was built to last, and I tiled right over it, so I give it two thumbs up.
Drips are almost nonexistent. An enclosure that encloses a three-sided tub and shower needs 3 coats. As well as the fiber paper for joint sealing.
In my opinion, the coverage was perfect. Upon adhering this waterproofed to this thinset and tile, it grabbed and held very well. It will be used on all my tile jobs without a doubt.
