Small print on the box states one should not apply to metal that has not been painted, which matches the furnace vent exactly. Please update the product description on Amazon. I never got the chance to use the product. I had intended to use it to seal a galvanized metal flue Only after reading the fine print on the tube did I find out that it's not intended for that use. Adding this information to the website description is a good idea.
