Questions & Answers

Check to see that it is intended for a door or In order to fill a 1/2" hole under a cabinet that a large spider occupies, I will use polyurethane foam. What are the odds of it working?

If it were to work, I would expect it to. I put some in the hole and trimmed it smooth, but it expands a lot and is hard to trim smoothly

Is it necessary to dry for a long time?

It also depends on how thick you apply the Loctite. *br>I had a large void to fill, it expands a lot, so I could not apply it too thick. As soon as it is dried, it is easy to cut. The coating developed a hard outer layer within half an hour, and it takes an hour to set evenly across the entire surface. Once again, it was filling a cavity about two inches by four inches I love that it didn't warp the frame in the least!

Does it take little effort to trim and paint over the surface?

Once fully cured, it becomes nearly stone-like when fully adhered to the surface.

What is the water resistance of this product?

This product can create a moisture and water barrier similar in characteristics to caulking sealants, however it is not water-tight. The material is impervious to water, though.

There are some tips and tricks you can use
5/5

Despite its cheap price, I've seen options that have the yellow foam in big 6, 8 and larger packs that are just as good. As far as color goes, this foam is white, soft but firm when applied and does just what it's supposed to do A wide crack developed in a piece of trim under a window, which eventually narrowed down. A roach from outside could run through that crack and eat the dog food by the front door then get back in through the crack. After watching them a few days, I came to realize that they were coming from far away. As a result, I shot some roach killer in a syringe into the crack a week before to get rid of the roaches. There was a gap wide enough for your fingertips to fit inside, and you could probably remove the trim board with your fingers. In order to prevent getting hung up, I started at the narrow end at an angle and then passed through the crack with the applicator to be sure I wouldn't get stuck and to determine the depth. The next time I need to do this, I will use a marker to mark the depth of the applicator straw so that whenever I need to do this, I will know it is the right depth. Spray some out on your Amazon cardboard/packaging a little at a time with the applicator and build the pressure slowly like you would spray paint with a test spray. Once the crack is filled, apply it to it. since it's easy to spin the applicator and drop it off the tip, which could mess up everything. When you have some junk mail, especially election mail, pull a flap off the cardboard box or the packaging to catch falling foam, then take that thick election mailer and cut off the foam, then toss it on some cardboard or your Amazon packaging to keep it from falling on I got a little bit of junk mail from my system on my fingernail, which was easily cleaned off. If some gets on your hands, which my system garnered with junk mail, the stuff just wiped right.

There is no truth in any claim! DON'T BUY THIS, BUY THE GAP FILLER, which actually performs what this one only claims to
3/5

In addition to the fact that I needed it for the new front door I installed recently, and it was marketed exclusively for the exact application I wanted it for, I bought the Loctitefoam window and door sealant version instead of the gap filler I had used for years. This is incorrect. The gap filler has a much more dense and consistent foam that is not liquidy or watery You can also readjust the applied foam to better cover/fill a spot with the gap filler without it deflating like soap bubbles when touched, affecting the foam surrounding it, or having it adhere to everything but the spot it should have been. When this product was falsely advertised as a denser foam that works better for glass and doors (as opposed to this window and door version), I was extremely disappointed, because these claims could not be further As long as you fix it before it dries, the gap filler is MUCH denser, applies evenly, and has a consistent consistency and texture. Because it is so dense, it is easy to repair an application error without causing more trouble than good. I used the gap filler to fill in more area in a smaller amount of time, with consistent, even, and effective In its window and door version, the sealant is very liquidy, unforgiving if you make even the slightest error (which is impossible because of its inconsistent flow and bubble filled texture), and comes out looking more like sticky, air bubble filled melted marshmallow on a kitchen counter. In the first can, I covered around half of the new door with sealing caulk of the red cap gap filler version, then saw this version and continued to seal the other half using the same method as the first. in ease of application, maneuverability, density, consistency of flow, and the overall effectiveness of the texture were night and day. Since I won't be buying this version again and having used both types to complete identical applications, I can say without a doubt that this version is less effective than the regular gap filler version, and it is much harder to apply. I would not recommend this version to anyone or This makes a huge mess and is more of a hassle to fix the problems the gap filler solves than it is worth considering it works 100 times better and costs far less than it does. Firstly, it should be made clear and not advertised as a more effective window and door sealant when it's obvious as soon as you pull the trigger that it absolutely is not. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T WASTE If this product falsely claims to fill the gap, get the gap filler instead, it works just as well, if not better.

You should trim after the paint has dried
5/5

The process actually works, but it is a bit messy and quite sticky. The trim is easy to trim and the bond is excellent. There's no off white nor other ugly color in this, it's just white. Be careful not to get it on your skin, my fingers got stuck Would you like to wear The hint is. You shouldn't try to wipe it when it's When trimmed after it has dried, it looks better and works better.

It takes a lot to make a difference
4/5

With this can, a lot goes a long way. There was a gap around 1 1/2-inches in my seal I am 2 inches tall. You will find it a bit messy if you are not careful, but its use is pretty simple. When exposed to the sun, it turns yellow. It goes on white, but when exposed to the sun, it turns It is definitely best to wear gloves to keep it from sticking to your skin since it is extremely sticky and difficult to remove. The paper dries fast and can be easily This part is tricky to cut so be sure to have a sharp pair of scissors on hand. I ended up using a hand saw, so it was a little messy at first. Furthermore, I don't know how well the rest will be stored if you don't use the entire can. If you don't use the whole thing, I would just plan to use it all. In conclusion, I would buy from them.

There are problems with the product, but it's a good one
3/5

In this case, it works as expected. As well as being white, I prefer it over the ugly yellow- orange color of the other leading product. However, I am not sure what amount of product is in the dispenser when I press it. Although I let go of the pressure, the fluid kept coming out of the dispenser. In addition, you should throw away anything you get on your clothes after you get it on them. As hard to remove as it is to deposit on your body. It also loses its usefulness after one use the slender tube that gives out the product. Despite my best efforts, I could not get the foam off.

The use of this item is one-time
3/5

While this product does it's purpose, I dislike that you have to either use all of it in one go or toss the rest. It seems nearly impossible to keep any of it for later use. Even removing the straw and cleaning the nozzle did not appear There is so much product in each can that it would be convenient to be able to save some for later.

The only bad thing is that it grows rapidly
4/5

The frame of a door needs to be reframed and I need to fill gaps between the stucco and the The product is like many others in that it is hard to predict how it will perform. In time, it will expand and if it does, it will expand It's a hassle to trim a lot of it. The product is quite solid, but you'd better go slow and wait a few seconds before continuing so you know what to expect as far as the expansion goes. Using a razor to trim the hair back worked well and filled in the large gaps on my face fine
Although you might want to use a foam backing filler roll along with it first if you need to fill large gaps.
