WON'T CRACK OR PEEL - Remains flexible, maintaining strong bonds even in a shaking, moving or moving structure

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to fasten galvanized sheets of metal to an aluminum boat with this method?

The load determines the time. '*br>So long as the two surfaces are bended well, you should be able to remove the patina (with sand or wire brush until they look shiny) from both surfaces. As soon as the adhesive is fully cured, ensure the joint is secured.

What if the coupling is under water and the 2 inch pipe is underwater?

In this case, if the coupling is under water and cannot be moved out of the water or the water drained, then the only hope is to remove it and repair it. It would be best to clean the surface with steel wool and apply it. The only way me and the doctor can determine if this would be a viable solution is to guess what the problem is. However, I am completely blown away by the 3M While a boat is still in the water, it can be used to stick stuff like speed sensors on the boat hull.

How does this work with ?

Yes, once the software has been installed, it cannot be removed

Does the adhesive have the capability of being ?

After a piece of polyurethane is fully cured, it is able to You will be able to fill in the sand paper slightly with this. Throughout the manufacturing process, the quality of the surface prep will impact how well the adhesive sticks to the surface and how finely the product can be feathered.

A magic trick
5/5

A crack appeared in the water basin on our toilet as we were replacing the subfloor in our bathroom. As much as possible, we were trying to stay under budget, and a new toilet would have caused us to lose money. As I browsed the interwebs, I found an advice forum and a guy asking for advice on how to do something I have barely cracked porcelain on my toilet so I have no idea what to do. It was less than reassuring to hear the responses. In the majority of advice-giving situations, buying a new toilet was the recommended solution. There was a lone person who spoke, perhaps 1) "Use marine 3M for boats. ". It's interesting. Hmmm. There is a 3M requirement Is it possible that it would My biting got out of control. The tube arrived today, and in preparation for the big (little) delivery, my wife and I dried the back of the toilet with towels, and then blew dried it for the rest of our lives. During the two days that I spent there, it was clearly a desert. In our case, this was a long, but not wide crack on the porcelain that needed to be covered on every side. In total, both sides of the basin were covered. After layering on one side of the basin and then the other, we made sure the caulk was 1/2 inch thick on both sides. With baited breath, we awaited the announcement. Could we potentially save $10 by not buying a new toilet and use the $10 to fix our old The only way to find out is to wait and see. Our house felt like a solid piece of hard plastic after fully 72 hours of applying this magic goop. It did not have that putty texture like most caulks do, but it was solid like a toy you didn't buy at the dollar store. Clenching our teeth, we turned to the basin and filled it. We were optimistic on the first day, as there were no leaks. On the second day, the outside of the toilet was as dry as a bone. We have been enjoying the results of our jimmy fix for two months, and thus far, there has not been a drop of While I would hesitate to use this for a basin that has been broken up, I'm not sure whether or not it could hold together a larger, deeper,.

An important piece of information is missing in this ad
3/5

Despite the fact that I will probably never know what the product is like, it may be good. The package instructions state that the product must be used within 24 hours of opening, so I read them after receiving the product. I will be using it on a variety of projects over a period of time, so this is not acceptable. When I requested a return of the unopened product, I was informed that it would not be accepted for return. I find it very disappointing that they do not provide that information in their advertisement.

The best marine adhesive I've ever used
5/5

One of my favorite things It's great for everything from marine adhesives to craft adhesive. Almost everything I do on my boat is 5200 marine plexi, and I screw into that instead of putting holes in it! When I think I may want to remove it in the future, I dap it in the corners so I can slip a razor in there. Otherwise, I apply heavily, and it remains on there for virtually forever. I always wear goggles to protect myself as this can get very tacky fast. Your eye will be in trouble if just a little stream hits it! The only thing I was wearing was my own goggles! While this is true of any adhesive, this does get stringy/semi-sticky after a while You can store the tube with the cap on tightly and in a ziplock bag, and in a cool place, and it will last a week or so, but it won't last much longer, so it's great to have all your 5200 projects prepared. Then all of them will be hit Additionally, it is easier to prepare and put on the protective gear. We recommend wearing gloves as well! Rubbing alcohol is the only way to get it off, but it IS IMPOSSIBLE. Yes, that's the way to go! -as a cleaning product You are up of excess and you are It is a MUST to have a spray bottle and rag on hand. I didn't like it too much, but it was great for delicate stuff. As a safety measure, I keep a caulk tube of it as well as plexi and wood on hand in case of boat problems.

Easy to use but challenging to master
3/5

Neither seals nor does it. Maybe this stuff works for other people, but I was not able to get it to work. A leaky reservoir was found on an outdoor water fountain. Two of us tried this 3M stuff since the reviews said it worked well. In any case, the reviews are incorrect. There is still a leak in the fountain. make matters worse, once the tube is opened, all the product must be used within a few hours, as it will harden up if you keep it in the tube after that withering period. It ended up being a different product - you take a chunk of putty out and put it on bottom of picture Place a substance similar to this in place, then mash it. As it turns out, that putty product was great, easy to use, and I can keep the remainder for future use. And it solved my problem, as well. 3M products are not something I would buy again and I guarantee it.

It is missing a My experience with this product over the last five months has been mixed - complaints, returns, phone calls, and chats have all left us frustrated
3/5

There are nozzles missing from half of the tubes. Due to the fact that they no longer arrive, I now have to clean and reuse the old nozzles.

Hey guys, what's up with this? Even if you're awake at all, what's going on.

I have found this to be one of the best sealants I have ever I have found this to be one of the best sealants I have ever This product from Permatex has 99 to 100% similar features, yet costs significantly less than similar products from other manufacturers
5/5

If you are working on a boat, RV or any other project, I recommend either one. The silicone caulk-like consistency of this is not the same as that of silicone caulk. As well as cutting as small an opening as possible, I would suggest cutting the tip of the bottle as well. It is easy to make a mess by applying too much makeup. There is also a slow cure version of 5200 from 3M Supposedly, it takes 7 days for the treatment to take effect. That's a fact you can rely on. We are available 24 hours a day. Some people do not feel comfortable using repurposed products once opened, you can reopen them afterward to ensure proper functionality. I've used several hundred dollars of both 3M/Permatex brands and the cure time worked well for me. The tube must be tightly closed and re-sealed or capped. Since I've kept it for reuse for several months, I haven't used it. As a side note, I just wonder if you can seal the tube's opening for longer periods of time when it is not being used. As I have to drill through the hardened sealant in order to reach the part I can use.

A light problem with my underwater pool has been solved
5/5

In front of the cord where it goes into the underwater pool light, there is often a leak. To seal it, I tried everything, but it did not work. The whole thing was getting ready to be bought, which would not only be expensive, but also a hassle as the cord would have to be pulled through the conduit and then prayed it didn't jam. After seeing it online, I thought it might be worth a shot and I'm glad I tried it!.

It's amazing how great this stuff is! My boots were repaired after they leaked using it
5/5

It's amazing how great this stuff is! Using it to repair old waders, boots, decoys, and even glue new soles on some waders, I have repaired leaky items. This is one of the best things I have ever used. Several reviewers complained about the software not being able to be used right away after opening it. Over the past few months, I've worked with it on multiple jobs, and it seems to work when the cap is replaced securely.
