Questions & Answers

As shown in the photo, the tape is 3/4" wide, but it's described as 1/2" wide. Would you mind if I asked?

There is a 1/2 inch difference between the two

Could anyone here tell me if this is a good way to stretch Does it need to be thin or thick?

I do not believe sounds travel through human ears or threads. Only plumbing and items with threads do.

The male end of the hose may have a leak or a crack in the metal. Could this be used on it?

You should definitely use the male end, but the female end is also acceptable. No matter how you thread it, it will crush and form a seal when it squeaks

This video shows the steps you will need to follow in terms of application (in case you don't know)
5/5

In a nutshell, In my opinion, I bought this multipack of teflon tape because I'll use up just four or five rolls in a year, which means that if all you need is to install a couple of shower heads, you can probably get by with just one roll. Using Teflon tape is super easy and I go over some basic instructions in this video. If you haven't used it before, it's easy. It's pretty simple - just wrap your threads in a clockwise direction. There are different thicknesses of teflon tape, and that is true. According to my estimation, this one is about in the middle There are both thicker and thinner versions of Teflon tape that I have tried. Basically, nothing really needs to be watched out for, except thin stuff, as thin stuff breaks too easily and doesn't really do its job I'm sure that this tape will last me for a long time, and this tape multipack is quite good.

It was a leaky hose that I fixed
5/5

It was leaking in both the connector where the hose connects to the water line as well as the sprayer. I bought these to replace my hose (which was about 2 months old), which had issues with leaks. It will not leak anymore because I attached it to both ends of the line as well as the spray nozzle and attached it again! When I have an idea to fix something, and it turns out that it works, I am going to love it! Even if I don't need 5 of these, I assume they will last for years and will be handy to have on hand. I'd rather buy too many and not leave my house than purchase a single roll and have to deal with the parking lot at the local big box I always check reviews before purchasing anything I'm planning to purchase online. rely on others to help me choose the best course of action. The reviews that I write are always based on my honest opinion. The stuff you post here is great! The stuff I'm talking about is great
5/5

The only way I could make it my wife would be to marry it. It is extremely useful, and I spend a lot of time trying to find places to use it since 1) It works, and 2) It is very simple The Crazy House is an old house, and I and The Housemate are baffled by some of the choices made by previous owners. Until I found this tape, I was afraid the water spigots would have to be replaced. After a couple of wraps, the leak has completely stopped. Actually, I'm in awe about that, and I keep asking The Housemate, "Is anything else leaking?" Quite a bit of this tape is in our possession. There are a couple of tips I would like to give to anyone who has never used Teflon tap It is important to determine which way the female connector needs to face in order to attach (Usually in the clockwise direction It's tight on the left side In loosely) Wrap the tape around the threads of the male connector in the same direction, so when you attach the female part, it does not turn against the direction where you wrapped the tape. It was completely random at first and I regret it now. Be sure not to unroll a large amount of tape at the same time. There is a lot of movement in this material, so it is lightweight and can tangle. Lightly press the application on the skin. Do not only lay it on the threads, but do not stretch it either. Connectors should be wrapped around a few times. Last but not least, smooth it with your fingers once the wrap has been completed. In most cases, the tape sticks to itself and molds to the threads by itself. You may wish to try this simple, yet immensely satisfying repair before making expensive upgrades.

The smoothest of silks
5/5

It has nothing to do with Teflon tape, so this review will be brief, but here's what's important to know In contrast to other Teflon tapes, this doesn't show any tendency to break open into threads even when ripped by hand -- The majority of people do it that way, don't they? I like that the consistency is silky and that the tape has nice self-adhesion. The application (preparing 1/4 inch fasteners for a reverse osmosis system) seems to require more wrapping than some Teflon tape I have used, but I don't know if it is a thinner variety or if it is just the tape itself. In Amazon's information, they mention not only the width and length of the roll, but also its thickness, so I don't consider that a defect, My overall impression is that it works well, and now I know that I should wrap the threads about five or six times instead of three, I won't have an issue using it.

I like it as much as any other program
5/5

In my experience, this is the best price you will find for this product. As a DIY'er, I use it all the time, and a 5-pack means you won't have to search for the one roll, which usually is in the last place you It is just a matter of keeping them everywhere I may need them. It is located in the basement on top of the hot water heater since the elements are regularly changed. You can get to it in the kitchen through all the (junk) drawers. Similarly, I converted the boiler in the R to run on gas. Keeping one inside the access door is convenient for me since I remove the element to clean or replace it regularly. We have one in The last one in the shop building and the one by itself.

This is the best program I've tried
5/5

I have never seen a better Teflon tape for plumbing than this one. A great deal of The adhesive is very good at sticking to itself. Easy to thread on fittings without it splitting or tearing into strands thanks to its silky feel. This is a very durable material. I bought this pack of tape in Aug 2020 and I haven't had any leaks since then. The reason I didn't need all five was so that I could provide a few pieces to friends to use when installing their bidets during the pandemic toilet paper shortage. The same thing happened to them as it did to me when I used the tape. I recommend it sincerely.
