Questions & Answers

I received the product in a yellowish color. It wasn't pure white when I received it. What did yours look like when you received it?

I could tell it was white and not yellow. It may not be bright white, but it is still

What is the number of feet?

A roll of 11 feet has 11 feet on it. This roll is large enough to fit around a bathtub of any size.

Is there a specific way to apply this tape to a round toilet base?

Considering how flexible it is, I imagine you do need to press firmly to shape it to the shape of had not considered that application but I think it would be a good fit. I think it's worth a try. I would cut off a tiny piece and try it out.

What are the chances of painting them?

My suspicion is that it might chip, but then I imagine that it may crack as well.

Selected User Reviews For KOMIWOO 2 Pack Bathtub Caulk Strip PE Waterproof Self Adhesive Sealant Tape for Bathroom, Kitchen, Tub and Wall Corner Edge, Grey

It is just what I would have liked, but it is important to understand potential issues with adhesives
5/5

In searching for a caulk strip for my particular situation, this product appeared to be perfect, but I had a hard time understanding why users had such disparities in ratings on It was made out of silicone, so it had the best material properties (flexibility, stain resistance, anti-bacterial, etc. fungi, and chemicals) for what I needed, so I decided to take a chance and look closely at what I got I believe there is an actual reason why the reviews on "stickiness" vary so much, and here is the reason It was happening because silicone is very slippery and when the paper backing came off of the silicone strip, the adhesive was able to stick to the paper and separate from it. A situation in which this occurs will result in very little sticking to My adhesive stuck to one end when this happened on one end, so I quickly trimmed it off and began carefully from the other end, and it did not stick to the silicone. All you have to do is make sure the clear adhesive gel stays on the silicone strip and does not stick As a result, you end up with an extremely sticky piece that is extremely difficult to handle if you peel the strip in an operation. Your fingers will not be able to resist it's sticky grip! If you are using this in the manner described, I recommend you start the paper peel correctly, and keep striping However, because this is such sticky material, you might be better off folding the strip in half, pressing on it with some weight for a few minutes, then peeling off the paper so that the silicone material will naturally want to be in a 90 degree slope before Then, when the paper is peeled back, you'll be able to handle it more easily. As it gets caught, it may be difficult to separate it from your wall, tub, shower, or fingers once it becomes stuck. Fold your towel first, press the folded edge into the corner, and then unfold it slowly

Okay, so my circumstances are probably a little different than those of most other people (see photo). During the shower enclosure installation, I discovered that my contractor did not seal the water barrier properly between the wall and the In addition, the granite was stuck directly to the wall, and with the natural humidity changes in the house, the two surfaces moved independently by just a fraction of an inch or two, but just enough to split and tear any caulk I might have applied at the seam or along the edge. I have tried everything up until now but using the drywall ceiling in my living room area as an extra shower room has never worked. To do this, I ran a small bead of clear silicone up the side of the platform and down the wall, pressed the chalk strip into the corner, flared out the two sections, and then squeezed out extra silicone at the edges and wiped it off. With this method, I was able to adhere the silicone strip to both sides and give it some flexibility without having to deal with normal shearing forces that cause the strip to tear. The end result is beautiful, and the silicone should hold up to normal shifting between the two parts. I used mold/mildew resistant silicone that goes on white and dries clear. Flexible silicone lends itself well to many applications. As long as it doesn't peel off, I can inspect it easily, and since the bright white silicone makes it quite obvious, I should know that it'll happen before I'll have to move it again The walls of my living room are again drywalled. There are six water leak detectors registered under this platform in case it attempts to leak again. If that happens, I will know right away.

I love it
5/5

There is no need for a professional. I'm confident that you will be satisfied if you just follow the instructions. It amazed me how much better it would look, but I never imagined it would make such a significant difference. My apartment is located in a very old building, and the tile around my tub is over a century old. THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE VERY EASY TO FOLLOW, AND MY OLD TUB LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER TODAY. The product will stand the test of time, and I'm confident for that reason. If you are interested in taking on a small project that will make a huge impact, this product is a must-have.

It's a great product, but you have to apply it The product has been around a bathroom sink for 30 days with only one small part coming up slightly (and more heat fixed that)
5/5

To get it done, here's what you need to know Take a heat gun and heat it up. to use a hair dryer to stick the product, but it was never hot enough to do it. Heat guns work well, but you have to be careful with them. It was impossible to get regular caulk to work in my sink because when people wash their hands, the puddle of water on the side of the sink would eat away at it. Several times I tried it, but the same result came up each time. I was able to stop that with this stuff. One thing I would change is to make the adhesive backing cover the entire back, there is a space at the top and bottom where it ends which causes tiny things to stick. The improvement suggestion is not enough to lower my rating, but it does offer some area for improvement. It is one of only a few products I have ever used that worked exactly as they said they would!.

Adhesion is poor and it takes a long time
3/5

This is not an item I would recommend. I thought this would be an easy way to escape caulking from multiple houses, but it turned out to be a little more complicated than I thought. There is a problem with sticking. After using a blow dryer multiple times, the problem still didn't go away. All in all, I was much faster to simply use caulking and go on with other repairs.

I would definitely recommend caulk over it
5/5

This was a great solution for me as I am not so handy. The task required me to go on curved surfaces which caused some difficulties, but I was able to get rid of any bubbles.

There were parts of the tub that didn't stick very well, and some of the sides even cracked.

Don't waste your time with it, find something else to do
3/5

I didn't think it adhered well I haven't had it on a month and it is pulling away from me and molding behind me. As well as turning a little yellow after opening, the film started oxidizing. It is a greenish color. It was okay but the color didn't stay true white. I would not recommend this.
