Using this around my toilet and vanity is a smart idea. Using my hair dryer, I heated the strip as I was going, and I was able to wrap it around corners very smoothly. I had a large gap underneath my toilet caused by it being too high so this was a great alternative to the sticky caulk. When you heat up the tape, make sure you leave the protective sheet over the adhesive until you need it because otherwise, if it sticks to your floor or whatever it is you are wrapping it around, then you will have a sticky white mess. have no doubt that I will buy it again, but if you are doing it around curves and corners you must use a heat gun or hair dryer. You will not be able to use it otherwise!.

The caulk strip you receive is an exceptional product. It is easy to install, has a great adhesive, and looks as good as new once applied. In addition, it only took a few minutes to set up. I was worried about it based on reviews but have been delighted with it. Have enough to trim around the toilet AND on the tub. Using a hair dryer while you're on the toilet is the key to using the toilet - apply heat as you go. I would suggest doing about 8 inches, heating again, and repeating. Stretch the strip slightly as you go, applying tension as you go This will help it conform to the shape of the toilet and when it cools, it will keep that shape and not try to pull away from it.

My only experience with it is that I used it to cover the base of a toilet that was installed poorly and so I cannot tell whether it is water proof or not. There was a large uneven patch on the floor from a bad installation, so I didn't want to simply use caulk to cover it up. There were no bumps or imperfections on the taped area, and it gave the area a smoother look. Nonetheless, the tape in general did a great job. It is only the instructions that I have a complaint about. In other reviews, people mention that if you're going around corners, you'll want to use a hair dryer to soften the plastic. Additionally, you'll need to pull the tape tightly as you go around corners or you'll end up with bunches. Make sure you pull the backing off the tape after you have placed it in the proper location so it doesn't stick to itself or create Except for that, the program works well and is easy to use.

The reason why my husband ordered this was because he read This does not stick to my photo, just like my story! In my opinion, this product was a total failure and I would never purchase This product was applied to a clean, dry surface that had been cleared of all dust and Since it didn't stick at first, my husband even used a hair dryer on a warm setting to get it to stick. The size is perfect, and the color is attractive, but we are extremely disappointed that it does not stick to surface, as we had hoped.

The way I do it is just wrong for me. It just doesn't like the base of my toilet, because after a few seconds, it just peels away by itself all by itself after an entire hour of cleaning. I heated the gummy side to make it as sticky as possible. There is no way for me to seal it. There aren't so many hard turns on it, so maybe it works more for nice straight lines. Time to pull out the caulk gun once more!.
