EASY GUNABILITY: When you have a variety of options, such as 1 and 5 gallon pails and 10 gallon pails, you can easily spread this red fire stop caulk with a gun or by hand. Tubes of 3 and 29 ounces are available.

USE IN RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS: This paintable, non-corrosive fire stop caulk is unaffected by freezing and thawing and can be used to create barriers for protection in both residential and commercial buildings. This is a poor quality product that dries hard and flakes. Even if there is no movement in the vicinity of a joint, it can crack. This is not something I would order again. Instead, I upgraded to the 3M FD 150 flexible membrane, which dries to a slightly rubbery, flexible, and non-cracking membrane.
