From now on, SMP will be the only caulk I use! I purchased replacement windows for my home, read installation instructions, and came across a chart comparing caulk properties

Nothing else compares to how well this type ticks all the boxes when it comes to quality. And it lasts for 30 years, so there's no need to caulk again! SMP was nowhere to be found (edit: The OSI Quad Max is the same thing- It can be found at Lowe's. ) Even though I had to buy a different caulk gun for the'sausage' style packaging, I still love it.

PPS: Window foam insulation with an aama 812 rating has a similar experience - difficult to come by (Edit: difficult to come by) I discovered at HD that Pro meets the standard. ).
