It would probably work for a short time, but I wouldn't trust it for long-term use if it didn't say "plastic" on the can.
Because the bond is weak, I don't believe so.

True, Low VOC Super 77 isn't quite as sticky as regular Super 77. However, I discovered that the regular Super 77 is wetter and more prone to "spit" coming out of the can (using either my finger or a Can Gun 1 to depress the nozzle), resulting in wet spots that bleed through papers and glossy spots on their surface, which can seriously detract from the result. Also, when I wet the result of gluing papers together, the Low VOC Super 77 is much less prone to bubbles appearing between the papers; Even though it is stickier, this is still a minor issue with regular Super 77. In the end, I prefer the Low VOC Super 77 because it produces better, more consistent results and is less noxious. br>br>Now if only we could get some quicker in- stock shipping times from a larger number of vendors! I used it as a back-up adhesive when installing stick-on tile in my kitchen. If you use it, you should cover any surfaces you don't want it to touch. It did get on my counters, but it was easily removed with a little scrubbing.
It's a great adhesive that's simple to work with. It dries very quickly.
If you follow the instructions, you'll get excellent adhesion. After years of attempting to brush on contact cement, I came across this. After my first can, I threw everything away.
Of course, it'd be 3M, the king of glues, which I use to attach speaker grill coths to wood grills. I use blue painter's tape to cover everything except the edge, spray the edges, and lay the grill on the cloth, stretching it over the edges. This glue clings to it and secures it. The low VOC is a plus for me. br>br>(edited to read Stink up the joint instead of Stick up the joint - > The spell checker failed:.
So far, this is the best fast spray glue I've ever used. br>Fast setup with a permanent hold. Strong.
I've been using 3M super 77 spray for years and it's perfect for the plastics I work with. However, I recently decided to give the low VOC product a try, and it turned out to be a disaster. It's runny and doesn't adhere well. When it's dry, the plastic strips simply peel away. The original Super 77 didn't have this problem. I'm not going to buy the low-VOC version again.
