You might not be able to cover the whole guitar in one coat, depending on its surface. It took me several coats of wet and dry 320 to prepare the surface for paint, and I had to respray and sand between coats until she was smooth enough for paint, and all blemishes were gone. This seller has done a great job. When I used this spray technique to coat another guitar body, I wished I had gone for it on other spray positions for nitro lacquer. According to my understanding, it does what it is supposed spraying a couple of base coats of nitro, I sprayed this over the clear nitro before applying the color coat. I found the guitar to appear smoother and more even looking after applying this. It doesn't seem necessary to use it, but it does appear to build up much faster than thinned lacquer and all it does is enhance the appearance of the guitar body. In testing, I sprayed one with the vinyl sealer and one without, and it's easy to see which one got it. It would be even better if the non sprayer quart size were available. I have used a range of Behlen products to spray guitar bodies and they have all worked well. It is a better experience ordering through Mohawk than I have had with any other company I have used. My FedEx order got lost, and I tried to locate it. I contacted FedEx and they sent me a new order. Immediately, they contacted me and gave me the telephone number of a real person to talk to It took them a while to find the order, but they eventually tracked it down and sent replacements rapidly. I am very happy with this.
